LOCAL WABA TEAM ‘ON POINT SWISH’ PICKS UP FIRST WIN IN FRANCHISE HISTORY

Forest Park, Ga. — The On Point Swish opened up WABA action with a 83-73 victory over the Atlanta Angels on Sunday afternoon. 

Owner/Player Carla Booth nets 20 points in league debut. 

Former Sheldon Clark star Carla Booth led the Swish with 20 points, JaVonna Layfield had 19 points and 8 rebounds, former Kentucky Wildcat star Makayla Epps also had 19 points, Victoria Dunlap had 7 points and 6 rebounds, Kennedi Stacy and Dasia Thornton had 6 points each, Dena Jarrells added 4 points and Katie Fuller chipped in with 2 points.

 

Swish 20 23 22 18 = 83

Angels 23 14 17 19 = 73 

The Swish will make their home debut on Saturday July 20th when they host the Raleigh Aces at Martin Co. High School. Tip-off is set for 6:00.
