We are proud to announce the outstanding accomplishment of seven students from The Millard School who have been selected to participate in the prestigious Rogers Explorer Program.
The following students have been chosen for their exemplary skills, dedication, and passion: Connor Bradley, Lily Bradley, Mia Domingue, Russell Robinson, Boston Weaver, and Bryson York. Caizleigh Canterbury was selected as an alternate.

“TMS is so thankful our students have the opportunity to participate in the Rogers Explorers program. We know this is a great opportunity for each student to further their STEM learning, meet new people, and give back to others through the service project. Our hope is that this helps them in their discovery of their God-given destinies,” said Principal Travis York.

According to The Center for Rural Development, “The Rogers Explorers program is a three days and two nights program that allows upcoming ninth grade students to live on a college/university campus, experience hands-on learning related to STEM and creativity, connect with other youth from the region, and complete a service project for the local community. This program is developed, coordinated, and supervised by The Center for Rural Development in partnership with University of the Cumberlands, Lindsey Wilson College, Eastern Kentucky University, Morehead State University, University of Pikeville, and Union College.

Activities throughout the program are both educational and fun. Classroom projects are very hands-on, so do not expect to be bored! Explorers are able to actively participate in practical college courses, fine-tune leadership skills, and develop a network of friends and resources throughout our Southern and Eastern Kentucky region.”

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the selected students and wish them the best of luck in their journey through the Rogers Explorer Program.
