Mountain Movers Theatre Company (MOMO Theatre) will present Little Women, the Broadway musical based on Louisa May Alcott’s classic novel of the same name, at The Garden Theater in Louisa on February 11th, 12th, 15th,17th, 18th, 19th, 22nd, 24th, 25th, and 26th at 7:30pm and Feb. 13th at 3pm.
Based on author’s real life, Little Women follows the adventures of sisters Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy March. Jo is trying to sell her stories for publication, but the publishers are not interested – her friend, Professor Bhaer, tells her that she can do better and encourages her to try one more time, writing from her heart. Begrudgingly taking this advice, Jo weaves the story of herself and her sisters, and their experiences growing up in Civil War America.
