Linda Sue Thompson 

1946 — 2017

Linda Sue Thompson, 71, of Fort Gay, WV passed away Monday Nov. 13, 2017 at her home following a sudden illness.

Linda was a devout Christian, loving mother, wife, and grandmother. Her life was spent in service to her family who she cherished and loved. Linda was born Oct. 27, 1946 at Flat Gap, KY, the daughter of the late Ferd and Nellie Slone Ferguson.  She was a member of the Fort Gay Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her children; Randy Thompson, Betty Ratliff, and Linda Sue Thompson.

Survivors include her loving husband of 55 years, Olen Thompson, a daughter Tammy Robinson of Fort Gay, three sons; Billy Thompson and wife Lecca of Ashland, KY, William Thompson and wife Amanda of Fort Gay, WV, and Randall Thompson also of Fort Gay, WV; three sisters Violet, Shirl, and Mary; and three brothers Danny, Marvin, and Bill; 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday Nov. 16, 2017at 1:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. David Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the Thompson Cemetery on Mill Creek Road Fort Gay, WV.

Friends may visit the family on Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home.

She will be forever loved and sadly missed by all.

Care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
