1944 — 2018

 

Linda Marie Rouse Dancy, 73, Lowmansville, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at St. Mary’s Medical Center.

Born October 25, 1944 in Bristol, VA to the late Lee Henry and Nancy Kazee Rouse, she is survived by one brother, Doug (Pam) Rouse of Bristol, TN, one sister, Kathy Ray Kowitz of Bristol, TN, her husband of 55 years Tommy Dancy, one son, Greg (Donna) Dancy Paintsville, KY, one daughter, Tonya (Brent) Westmoreland Lowmansville, KY, granddaughter Paige Dancy Kinzer and husband David.

Ms. Dancy was a member of Belles Chapel FWB Church for 42 years where she was active in both Ladies Auxiliary and Youth groups. She was a member of the Lowmansville Volunteer Fire Department for thirty-eight years serving as both Captain and Secretary, and employed at Mountain Apothecary in Paintsville, KY for twenty-five years.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Wilson Funeral Home with Revs. James Vanhoose, Brian Crum, Ronnie Childers, and Willie Gene Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens.

Friends may visit the family from 6-9 PM on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Wilson Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Belles Chapel Freewill Baptist Church Youth Group or Lowmansville Volunteer Fire Department at PO. Box 237 Lowmansville, KY 41232.

All care and final arrangements have been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
