Linda Lee Thompson, 74, of Fort Gay, WV went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at Community Hospice.

Linda was born January 3, 1948 in Louisa, KY to the late Leon and Ocie (Kimble) Vanhoose. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Edward Thompson; sisters Carolyn Vanhoose and Mary Ann Vanhoose; and brothers Bennie Vanhoose and Ricky Vanhoose.

Linda was a member of Isaac Park Road Church. She loved to spend time in her flower beds. Linda loved to watch the birds and her little dog. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children Brenda (Douglas) Hawkins, Jean (Sylvester) Minney, Darren Thompson, and Melissa (Barry) Frazier; grandchildren Cody (Samantha) Thompson, Gage Minney, Khaleah Minney, Keri Frazier, Christina Frazier, Courtney Frazier, Jason (Tori) Newsome, and Jeffrey Frazier; great grandchildren Mckenzie Thompson, Eli Newsome, and Brady Frazier; sisters Loretta Dean, Bonnie Brinkley, and Sharon Gearheart; and brothers Bobby Vanhoose and Donald Vanhoose.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to help offset funeral expenses.

Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Bartram Thompson Cemetery in Fort Gay, WV with Pastor Mac Ray Cyrus officiating.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mrs. Thompson and her family.
