Leslie Ray Sturgill, 65, of Fort Gay, WV passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2019 following an extended illness.

Born January 20, 1954 in Louisa, KY, he was the youngest son of Andrew and Viola Francis Rose Sturgill of Fort Gay, WV. Leslie was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Carroll Sturgill of Paintsville, KY. 

Leslie is survived by his spouse Shannon Sturgill; children Clayton (Christina) Sturgill, of Louisa, KY and Kiera Sturgill at home; step son Jacob Preece of Louisa, KY; brothers Charles (Jean) Sturgill, Kenneth (Sharon) Sturgill, and Ronald (Rhonda) Sturgill, all of Fort Gay, WV; and sisters Judy Bellomy of Prichard, WV, Barbara (Bill) Kitchen and Jackie (Greg) Holbrook, both of Louisa, KY. 

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the Young Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Sturgill Cemetery in Fort Gay.

Friends may visit the family on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until time of services.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Funeral Home to offset funeral expenses.  

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Sturgill.
