Leona Jo Wilson

1927 – 2017

The world lost the most wonderful woman on February 8th. Leona (Jo) Wilson passed away in her sleep and the Lord got the most beautiful angel.

Leona was born September 7, 1927 in Fort Gay, WV to Charlie and Inez Thompson. She retired from Design Metal.

She left behind five children: Roger (Barbara) Wilson of Ashland, OH, Karen (Gary) Cole of Mansfield, Charlotte (Jerry) Coy of Willard, Gary (Regina) Wilson of Mansfield, Don (Anita) Wilson of Belliville; 19 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; two sisters Leota Rowe of Huntington, WV, Gladys White of Mansfield.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters Anna Sue Bittenger, Irma Hayden, Virginia Hampton, Brenda Johnson; brothers Ralph, Joseph, Charles Thompson.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Monday, February 13, 2017 at Young Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Thompson Cemetery, Fort Gay, WV.

Visitation will be 11:00am until time of service at 1:00 pm Monday, February 13, 2017 at Young Funeral Home Chapel, Louisa, Ky.
