LCHS TENNIS SWEEPS JOHNSON CENTRAL, SPLITS WITH MORGAN CO.

Louisa, Ky. —  The Tennis program at Lawrence Co. lost a great coach in Chad Williams last year but that hasn’t stopped the Bulldogs so far in 2017 under Kelly Dixon, Brian Akers and Eddie Dixon.

LC Tennis GIRLS 11, Morgan Co. 2; Morgan Co. Boys 6, LC 5

On Friday night at home the Girls team got the best of Region rival Morgan Co. 11-2 on a windy day.

Eden Webb, Adrian Webb, Brooke Fletcher, Jessalyn Osborn, Kendall Sword and Katelyn Pauley all won on the singles side.

In Doubles it was a clean sweep of the Cougars as sisters Eden and Adrian Webb, Maci Pollack and Sheree Hay, Brooke Fletcher and Jessalyn Osborn, Katelyn Pauley and Kendall Sword, Susan Lin and Ashlyn Osborn were all victorious.

On the Boys side it was Morgan Co. edging out Lawrence Co. 6-5 in a tight battle that came down to the last few matches. In Singles matches it was Noah Fairchild, Dakota Sturgil and Trey Brumfield picking up wins for the Dawgs.

In Doubles action it was Noah Fairchild and Lincoln Rose, Dakota Sturgil and Spencer Akers picking up victories.

Lawrence Co. Sweeps Johnson Central

On Thursday night Lawrence Co. traveled to Paintsville to take on Johnson Central in a Region match and it was a clean sweep for the Bulldogs winning 11-1 on the Girls side and 8-2 on the Boys side.

In singles matches for the Boys it was a clean sweep by the Dawgs. Nick Kessinger, Alan Lin, Daniel Cantrell, Noah Fairchild, Lincoln Rose, and Dakota Fairchild all victorious. In Doubles it was Nick Kessinger and Alan Lin, Daniel Cantrell and Noah Fairchild picking up wins.

In Girls matches vs Johnson Central it was Bailey Thompson, Eden Webb, Adrian Webb, Maci Pollock, Brooke Fletcher getting wins in singles.

In Doubles it was Sisters Eden and Adrian Webb, Susan Lin and Ashlyn Osborn, Kendall Sword and Sarah Lycans, Maci Pollack and Sheree Hay, Ally Moore and Katelyn Pauley, Sarah Lycans and Jessalyn Osborn all winning.

The Tennis Dawgs will travel to Ashland on Wednesday for their next Match.
