UPDATE: 9:00AM WEDNESDAY, MAY 23 — Jordan Harper,15, of Blaine is now out of ICU as of yesterday and expected to make a full recovery after his dirt bike accident that happened on MAY 21.

The new rider has 2 broken ribs, a broken vertebrae and a punctured lung. While there is no doubt he will remember the accident and have difficulties with pain throughout his life, it could have been much worse, this community knows all too well after losing a high school age boy within less than a mile of Harper’s accident just less than 2 years ago.

UPDATE: 11:00am Tuesday — As of 9:00 A.M this morning, Jordan Harper remains in the ICU at The Pikeville Medical Center with several serious injuries. The accident happened yesterday evening in the Martha/Blaine area of Lawrence County.
