If the district gave teachers and staff a substantial raise to offset inflation, the district may not have all of those openings. I predict it to get worse.
Word has it they are all leaving to go to the Lawrence Co. Public Library. It pays a lot more. No stress.
It will get worse. They gave a 1% raise. That’s a slap in the face to our educators. Lawrence County is way behind on salaries and always will be. We can pay high dollar for the grass mowing can’t we Heath and Barb. You guys know. I do to.
