LCHS GRAD CHOSEN TO ATTEND SUMMER OPTOMETRY CAMP AT U-PIKE

Lawrence County High School 2019 graduate Allyson Ferrell from Louisa, KY has been chosen as one of ten students for the Summer Optometry Camp at the University of Pikeville, Kentucky College of Optometry.

Students had to provide an essay that explains their interest in becoming an optometrist and in participating in the summer camp. Allyson will be attending Morehead State University in the fall and majoring in chemistry on her way to a doctor of optometry degree.

The Kentucky College of Optometry invites you to participate in the KYCO Summer Optometry Camp that will take place at the University of Pikeville, Kentucky College of Optometry from June 12-14, 2019.

This 3-day camp is to exposure pre-health and pre-optometry majors to the profession of optometry by providing an interactive on-campus experience. Participants will learn about the application and interview process, and experience optometry classes. Participants will also have the opportunity to interact with optometrists, current KYCO students, and faculty.  Up to 10 participants will be selected.

The Kentucky College of Optometry will cover all room, board, meals and activities.
