COACH’S COMMENTS

“… Very proud of our kids for coming through with a really big win in the first round of the 2A tournament. Belfry is a really good team and was leading the state in points scored per game. We did a really good job defensively containing their best three players. They are certainly a tough matchup for anyone they play, but we feel like our kids did a really good job at buying in and getting stops. Our kids had a different look in their eyes last night and in practice the day before. Us coaches really felt like they were locked in and it showed in the game last night.”

“… Super proud of Cody Maynard for becoming the second leading scorer in program history, and Trenton Adkins for becoming the newest member of the 1,000 point club and 500 rebound club. Those two are great leaders, and although they are not into personal accomplishments and more into team accomplishments, they are very deserving of their accomplishments and we are glad to recognize them! Couldn’t be more proud of this group of young men!”
