I wanted to let you know that we will be hosting a Trunk-or-Treat on Saturday, October 31, 2020, 5-8 in front of Lawrence County Courthouse.

Also, the last weekend of the Haunted Hayride at Lawrence County Park will be 10/23 and 10/24. Tickets begin being sold at 6 pm and have to be purchased by 11 pm.  This event is coordinated and sponsored by the Lawrence County Fiscal Court and Ray of Hope and Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office. It is a 5.00 entry fee and it all goes to local charity.

The County Judge Executive Office will be participating in the Lawrence County Public Library Storytime trick-or-treat event this Thursday.

We have our Fall Free Dump Day this Saturday.  I think that is all the stuff we have coming up for now.

Might want to correct your headline. In the letter, Phil states his OFFICE is participating. Not him personally.

      SAME THING…Editor

No, it isn’t, Editor. It’s widely known in LC that Phil has a grudge against the library. The headline itself is entirely inaccurate, too. Phil himself isn’t participating in the Story Time Trick or Treat event. That event isn’t even at the library, never has been. The staff take children trick or treating around town to local businesses. Phil’s letter, verbatim, states that “The County Judge Executive Office will be participating in the Lawrence County Public Library Storytime trick-or-treat event this Thursday.” Nowhere in the letter does it state that Phil himself will be at the library. His office will be participating in the trick or treat event in town.

OK. I stand corrected. The judge/executive’s office will participate in the event.

You stand corrected. Your headline does not.

Man, people are picky these days. I think they call this the snowflake generation.

The harsh vibe in these messages make me nervous and offend me. I think I’ll melt if I don’t receive an apology. I think I’m getting PTSD too! I cant sleep ,work or function normally. Hopefully the school system will continue to feed my 5 kids year round.
