LAWRENCE COUNTY TEENAGER ARRESTED ON PAIR OF FELONY DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CHARGES AFTER STABBING HER MOTHER, DURING ATTACK AT BOYD COUNTY RESIDENCE

FEMALE SUSPECT ENDS UP INJURING HER BROTHER DURING VICIOUS ATTACK ON HER MOTHER

JULY 8, 2020 – written by WADE QUEEN

HALEY MADISON ROOP, ARRESTED AFTER STABBING HER MOTHER IN ONE ATTACK, AND THEN BURNING HER BROTHER DURING BOTCHED ATTACK ON HER MOTHER

ASHLAND, Ky. — A Louisa teenager is in serious trouble, after a pair of assaults left her mother seriously injured, along with her brother being injured as well, during a violent incident at a residence on Monday in Boyd County

According to the arrest report from the Ashland Police Department, an Ashland woman was flown to St. Mary’s Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia Monday afternoon, after her teenage daughter stabbed her with a kitchen knife and attempted to pour hot grease on her, according to the Ashland Police Department criminal citation report.

Haley Madison Roop, 18, of Louisa, was arrested by officer Jeremy Barada, on charges of:

• FIRST DEGREE ASSAULT – DOMESTIC VIOLENCE; and

• SECOND DEGREE ASSAULT – DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.

Haley Ropp was denied bond in her case, according to the Boyd County Detention Center in Catlettsburg.

According to the arrest report, at 4:30 P.M. Monday, June 6, Ashland Police responded to the 600 block of 31st Street for reports of a domestic disturbance, the arrest report said.

Police officers found Haley Roop kicking her bloodied mother on the ground, records show. Officers took the teenage Roop into custody immediately, the citation report states.

Upon their initial inspection investigation, the officers stated that they saw that the victim had been stabbed three times in the shoulder and neck area, according to the arrest report. During the fight, police said Haley Roop tried to pour hot cooking grease on her mother when her brother intervened.

Roop wound up splashing the hot grease on her brother instead, according to court records. The brother was taken to King’s Daughter Medical Center for treatment of the burns he suffered.

I’m tired of feeling sorry for these kids!!! They have passed all boundaries. Put her under the jail and leave her there!

      Agreed!

These are the kids of the timeout era but really if they would have got their butts busted more maybe things like this wouldn’t happen!

This honestly shocks me a bit being a person who was a fellow class mate of hers and so forth she had no counts of violence in her she was always a kind kid who wore her heart on her sleeve….although she has suffered seizures and brain operations….and attended maryhaven I had kept a bit of contact with her and this shocked me.

This is my daughter I love her very much even after this happened I will always love her she needs help and the person who is responsible for this is a therapist named Stephanie Megan from Mary hurst in Louisville Ky I kept telling her she wasn’t ready instead of helping she told me I was a bad mother who truly didn’t know her child I truly hope she looses her license I’m going to do what I have to do to protect other children from her

And we should defund the police? The mother may have been killed had they not shown up.

None of you all know that little girls story and if you did it would hurt you even more than you know

“Although she had suffered seizures and brain operations and attended Maryhaven” Do you think maybe she isn’t a bad person but has mental issues. “I’m tired of feeling sorry for THESE kids” Really? Maybe she needs a little compassion if she has mental issues, “These are the kids of the time out era” but wouldn’t have mental issues if someone would have taken them behind the wood shed and beat them? REALLY?

“Time out era” is a sad retort of the likes you only hear when someone is displaying their “generational superiority”.

I didn’t get beat and I turned out fine.

There is more to the psychology of violence than just “let’s blame the parents.”

    Louisa is full of idiots.

  9. A Friend says:

Wonder why the girl has mental health problems? Wonder why she had a therapist? Could it be coz her mom was in and out of jail and neither she nor her father even raised the child? Never visited her when she was in foster care? Never saw her on birthdays or Christmas? Never had a kind word for her? I don’t uphold Haley’s actions but she is a victim too, From what I heard her therapist spent more time with Haley than her actual parents ever did.

i dont feel the least sorry for this psychopath, dosent matter if she is a “victim” she chose to do what she did, and anyone that does feel sorry for her is just as dumb as she is. she did a big girl crime but her in a big girl prison for attempted murder and let her ass rot for a long time. cant keep showing sympathy to these idiots thats why they keep doing it!

Instead of declaring that you’re “tired of feeling sorry for children”, how about you declare your disgust with bad parenting?? You should be detesting parents that are absent and negligent, leading to a CHILD being thrown into a broken foster care system- because that’s what leads to awful stories such as these. Depsite these actions, Haley is an incredibly intelligent and resilient young woman. She’s also very kind hearted when in an environment that makes her feel safe and secure, that supports her growth and recovery. Unfortunately, all the psychiatric help in the world can’t mend a child’s broken bond with their parent- the one and only person in this world they should be able to rely on. But sure, keep rambling about kids needing to be whooped more. You all don’t even know the HALF of it.

This is my friend’s ex girlfriend and I’ve met her personally. She’s always been off but I never would’ve expected this. She’s a monster. Throw away the key!

Lock her up until she gets better. She’s dangerous for whatever reason.

  14. Donna J says:

Quit taking up for her! She done a terrible thing that could’ve been much worse! I don’t care what her past was like, obviously she’s got problems and needs to be held accountable for her actions. All you feeling sorry for her go post her bond and bring her home with you or quit defending this monster.

    • Kim says:

I sure would post her bond and show her love but shows how well you can read it clearly stated she has no bond smart ass!

  15. Kim says:

So sad ! When parents are not held accountable for the neglect and abuse of a child it turns out like this! I feel sorry for this child now she she is bad guy and monster when in reality the parents made her snap !! Sad situation! This girl just needs to see and feel love

  16. Buster says:

The new culture wants to blame everyone but the person responsible for this monstrous act. Send her away. Please. Please don’t outlaw abortions.
