Restoration work is expected to continue through early next week with estimated restoration times available for customers by this afternoon.

Storm Response Efforts:

More than 1,000 Kentucky Power personnel, business partners, contractors, forestry and mutual assistance workers are committed to restoration work. Workers include hundreds of mutual assistance crews from out-of-state that are already on site with more arriving today.

Crews from Indiana, Michigan, Kansas, Wisconsin and Oklahoma are already assisting with restoration.

Stay Safe:

  • If you are using a portable or RV generator:
  • Do not plug the generator into your circuit box.
  • Turn generator OFF when crews are working in your area.
  • Only use a generator outside, away from enclosed space.
  • Plug appliances directly into your generator.
