79 COVID-19 CASES IN THE LAST 96 HOURS, 115 IN THE LAST 6 DAYS OF REPORTING, OF WHICH JUST SLIGHTLY OVER 35% WERE CORONAVIRUS CASES AT THE JORDAN CENTER NURSING HOME IN LOUISA

An aberration? Or major causes to worry?
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in the U.S. exactly ten months ago (02-29-2020), and the first coronavirus case in Kentucky on March 6, up to December 29, there have been 755 confirmed coronavirus cases reported in Lawrence County.
But the stunning statistics are the most recent ones: there has been 79 COVID-19 cases confirmed in Lawrence County in just the last 96 hours (four days); 115 cases since December 23; 188 cases since December 15; and since December 1, there have been 327 COVID-19 cases in Lawrence County. That adds up to 43.3% of the total Lawrence County COVID-19 cases in under a month, with two days left in the month (and the year 2020).
Separately, of the 115 new COVID-19 cases since December 23, 41 of those cases were diagnosed cases at the Jordan Center nursing home facility in Louisa, involving 32 residents and 9 staff members of the nursing home.
According to director Debbie Miller, the Lawrence County Health Department daily COVID-19 update for December 29, there were twenty-two (22) new COVID-19 cases in Lawrence County for Tuesday, December 29, 2020.
Finally, word is spreading across areas of Lawrence County that there have reportedly been new COVID-19 deaths of Lawrence County citizen residents.
According to Lawrence County Health Department Director Debbie Miller, she confirmed that there will be new Lawrence County COVID-19 deaths, but as of now, they remain unofficial for now, as director Miller stated that any new COVID-19 death cases has that information that is sent to the state where it is determined if it is a COVID death. Ms.
Miller stated that she does not report any new COVID death until Governor Beshear and his office says (Lawrence County) has a new one. It sometimes takes weeks for state health officials to make a ruling as the health department has to send hospital notes and other medical and non-medical information for any death case from Lawrence County.
As of now and the foreseeable future, it appears that COVID-19 situation is worsening in Lawrence County.
And now there is a new wild card in U.S. pandemic struggle, as it has been confirmed that a man in Colorado has been diagnosed with a new mutated COVID-19 variant virus from Great Britain, which is 70% more contagious, however the man has not traveled outside his hometown.
And if that is not an enough terrible new development, that is even a new more dangerous mutated COVID-19 virus that the British virus, that has been newly discovered in South Africa, that is significantly more contagious than even the new mutated coronavirus from Great Britain.
Add to that, it will take months (most of 2021) to vaccinate the American population, but with tens of million who refuse to do so now, for the fear of side effects, which is starting being reported, with many who get vaccinated the need weeks later for the second round of the booster shot of the vaccines, which in clinical trials has left many participants in a pretty rough way, all forebodes a worrisome trend, despite everyone thinking that somehow that now that 2020 is almost ever, and next year 2021 will be magically better, our oncoming new year ahead will instead be leading nearly all of us in an ice cold water to the face of an increasingly turbulent struggle for our country, and the our whole world.
Thia has nothing to do with Christmas but only because of the Jordan Center having multiple cases. Good job of trying to soread fear !!
The Trump Flu is no hoax
KAG, you are a slow as they get. By the way, I have almost figured out who you are. Technology is amazing.
it’s as slow
but you got to admit this Trump Flu is not going to go away when the weather warms up
How did the Nursing Home end up with so many cases? They just keep rising! That just shows you can still catch the virus if ur wearing a mask. And if your “sanitizing”!
Go figure!! The superintendent wanting kids to go to school two days a week. – Nothing is gonna be the same until this virus calms down. Might see normal one of these days.
