Re: Request to the Lawrence County Board of Education for Creation regarding Positions

Request the following positions be created effective January 31, 2020:
(1) Law Enforcement Officer / School Resource Officer – District contribution not to exceed $50,000 per officer to be employed by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office
(1) Instructional Assistant District-wide (if needed)

      The state government has a bill that is expected to pass requiring the officer in each school so Dr. Rob is just staying ahead of the game.

    Who’s going to do the work at the Sheriff’s office if they’re all out at the schools making 50k a yr. Of course they would rather make 50k than what the Sherrif can pay. How can they be fit for duty in they County if they have a second job?
