KY 3399 in Lawrence County closes tomorrow, Thursday; Road repair drilling equipment blocks roadway

LAWRENCE COUNTY (February 7, 2017) – KY 3399 in Lawrence County will closed tomorrow, Wednesday, February 8, and again on Thursday, February 9, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day at the 0.2 mile marker near the intersection with KY 707.

Road repairs due to an embankment failure involve large drilling equipment that takes up most of the roadway. Except for school buses, traffic will not be allowed through the work zone site from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day.

“We apologize for the temporary inconvenience,” said Tim Spencer, a D12 engineer with the Paintsville Section Office. “We need to get the road fixed so that it will be safer for everyone. We will work as quickly as safety allows. We thank everyone for their patience and understanding.”
