This is what Lawrence County EMS released this morning:

Lawrence OH-Wayne-Cabell-Mason-Jackson WV-Lincoln-Putnam-Kanawha-
Roane-Boone-Clay-Northwest Fayette-Northwest Nicholas-

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northeast Kentucky, portions
of southeast Ohio, and portions of central West Virginia, southeast
West Virginia, southern West Virginia and western West Virginia.
.DAY ONE…Today and Tonight.
There is a slight chance that thunderstorms could cause flash
flooding today and tonight.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Wednesday through Monday.
A front is expected to linger over the region for much of the work
week. With rounds of showers and thunderstorms, the chances for
flash flooding increase each day.
There is also a marginal risk that thunderstorms Wednesday and
Thursday afternoon and evening could produce damaging wind gusts and
possibly large hail.

The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a
  •  Flash Flood Warning for…
  • Central Lawrence County in northeastern Kentucky…
  • Until 1045 AM EDT.
  • At 738 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD…Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE…Radar.
IMPACT…Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include…
Yatesville Lake State Park and Houckville.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Report flooding to the National Weather Service by calling toll
free, 800 401 9535, when you can do so safely.
