4.A. Superintendent’s Update

4.A.1. The Kentucky Next-Gen group recently worked with Lawrence County Schools’ staff on developing performance indicators with the Portrait of a Learner.

4.A.2. The Kentucky Center for School Safety conducted safety evaluations at Louisa Middle and Lawrence County High School with many positive comments;  a formal report will come in the next few weeks.

4.A.3. The Dolly Parton Imagination Library roster has crossed the 400-active participant milestone.

4.A.4. Dr. Fletcher attended the KSBA Winter Symposium (with Board Members Rice, Roberts, and Robinson) and the KASS Conference.

4.A.5. Dr. Fletcher and Mrs. Webb continue to work with the staff of Blaine Middle School on their CSIP; Mrs. Webb has also been leading our CDIP work.

4.A.6. Lawrence County Schools are completing MAP/STAR testing as well as finishing up their holiday celebrations.

4.A.7. Christmas Break will begin on Wednesday, December 20th for students and staff, staff will have PD on January 2, and students will return on January 3, 2024.  (MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR!)

    The only way the nickel tax has a chance of passing would be with a new superintendent and a new board. Just sayin. It would pass. What we have now are not trusted.
