Lawrence County Farm and Field Day will be held on Friday, Aug. 5, 2016.

The event will begin at 4:00 P.M. with an Early Tour at Kimber’s Country Market in Blaine, Ky. Showing off the old time country markets. Kimber’s is the only place for local residents of Blaine to buy groceries and other necessities.

Markets such as these are rare in this day and time due to larger chains. They have put many locally owned businesses out.

Registration will be at 4:30, followed by the opening of Educational Booths at 5:00 P.M.

Located at the Blaine Community Building. At 5:30, there will be a Farm Tour right across the road at Butch Smith’s Farm.

At 6:30 dinner will be provided compliments of Lawrence County Farm Bureau, and beverages provided by Lawrence County Conservation District under the shelters also at Blaine Community Building. This will be a great day to enjoy the country and educational for those who are not from the area.
