Lawrence Co. code of ethics calls for a SEVEN member ethics commission, Lawrence County has four… left
A recent report from state auditor Mike Harmon cited five ‘findings’, three that Harmon said should be referred to the Lawrence County Ethics Board. But that board has not met for several years according to one member who says he wants his name off and he never attended a meeting.
Former member Todd Moran from the state highway department said his term ran out in 2022 and he wants his name off the list.
“…Good afternoon Mark, I wanted to let ya know I was listed as a member on Lawrence county ethics board, My term expired 6-2022 and have not ( and will not) lol be reappointed, ” Moran said in an email. He also said the board has not met since he has been a member. “I have never been to a meeting nor notified of one.”

The ethics committee has a code of ethics to go by that was posted 25 years ago and is still in place.

What lies? Name one. I did not prepare the state auditor’s report nor did I ask for it. As for not getting notice of meetings, yes, I initiated the complaint (and won). Strictly a Constitutional issue of free press and public information. Where are the lies? Tell me one or be quiet. But thanks for reading The Lazer.
The Levisa Lazer was the one to report that Todd Moran is on the ethics committee. Why didn’t you do research and find out he wasn’t before you tarnished his name?
He sent the email I posted to me and said that ‘his term was over and he wanted off’, not me. How did this tarnish anyone’s name? Gimme a break. You should get your facts straight, Dave, but thanks for reading the Lazer.
