What happened to Johnny Moore about 1st Degree sexual assault?
Why waste taxpayer money to even bring them to court. They know they’re gonna go free. Even send a guy brought up on incest charges back home to do the same thing again? Deal drugs, rob and whatever, in Lawrence county there’s no punishment.
Did anyone actually get any jail time?
“You naughty man, I’m giving you unsupervised probation. And you naughty girl, it’s supervised probation for you. Probation, probation, probation! That’ll teach’em a lesson.”
Yeah, just look through again. I’m not on probation. I’m in drug court after spending time in jail, and Jason is in jail for 2 years and a day. So, no we don’t all get a slap on the wrist. Maybe a couple rats keep getting out, but I’ve noticed they’re putting them away now too. I’m thankful for the time I spent and then finally going to rehab. Without all that I wouldn’t be able to say I’ve been sober 5 months. #wedorecover
Great job Brandi and keep up the good work, but i understand completely what the poster means. Most defendants, mainly repeat offenders rarely get jail time. We see it every single month with the same people being arrested over and over and over, and for most it will read “1st offense” even though they have been arrested multiple times for the same drug offense. This ridiculous plea bargaining needs to stop, and the focus for the courts should not be about how many convictions they can rack up to meet a quota, but instead hand down some justice for a change! All they do is help feed the drug crisis that we are facing. I wish everyone could get clean, and i honestly feel for those addicted and their struggle (I have it within my own family), but eventually there must be some accountability and responsibility for these repeat offenders. Jail time could actually save their life and be a blessing in disguise. Ive seen it happen.
It has been for Jason and myself. Thank you for not being judgemental like so many people are. I am so sorry that drug addiction has affected someone in your family. I hope and pray if they haven’t found a way out of active addiction, they do before it’s too late!!
