    1. Dr. Fletcher appointed to a three-year term on the Superintendent Advisory Council for the Commissioner of Education
    2. Opening Day for Teachers and Staff, August 10; Students in Classrooms, August 11
    3. Dr. Fletcher attends School Funding Task Force Meeting #3 earlier today
    4. Welcome to Mrs. Anna Prince in her first Board meeting as Director of Pupil Personnel and Director of Personnel
    5. Louisa East SBDMC held the principal selection meeting earlier today
  2. STUDENT LEARNING AND SUPPORT SERVICES
    1. Approve Claims and Orders of the Treasurer
    2. CONSENT AGENDA

Approve the Consent Agenda items:

      1. Per diem and expenses for board members in attendance
      2. Contracts & Services:
        1. 2021-2022 School Participation Application/Affidavit and Memorandum of Understanding with Office of Vocational Rehabilitation Community Work Transitions Program (CWTP); July 20, 2021 through June 30, 2022
        2. Amended Contract: PresenceLearning, Inc. with LC Schools for Virtual Therapy Services; $79,380 (previously $44,100) effective date of August 5, 2021, for school year 2021-22
        3. K-9 Resources Contracts: Safe & Drug Free Services Agreement and Crisis Plan License Agreement
        4. Revised FY 21-22 Community Education Grant-Lawrence County (MOU) $18,000 (previously $20,000); July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022
        5. Approve and accept Louisa East Elementary and Blaine Elementary Healthy Kids in Schools Mini Grants from Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky, both in the amount of $6,250

  1. Fundraisers: LCHS
  2. Use of Facilities:
    1. LCHS gym by Lawrence County Youth Football League (LCYFL) for cheer competition (gym on Sept 25 and 26); Brianna Muncy; proof of insurance received
    2. Blaine Elementary School by Blaine High School Alumni Committee for the annual reunion on September 4, 2021; Charlotte Sparks, Chair BHS Alumni
  3. Approve request/quote for three cheer mats for the high school cheerleading team (three quotes provided)

  1. Published handbook provided: Parent & Student Handbook Including Code of Acceptable Behavior & Discipline
    1. Approve application for the School Facilities Construction Commission, HB556, Section 18 Local Area Vocational Education Center (LAVEC) Funding
    2. Review the Regulation concerning COVID-19 Related Emergency Leave approved by the Kentucky Board of Education on August 5
    3. Review/Approve amendments to the “Lawrence County Schools’ Safe Return to In-person Instruction and Continuity of Services Plan”
    4. Approve Unaudited Annual Financial Report (AFR) for Fiscal Year 2020-2021
  1. PERSONNEL
    1. Approve update to 2021-2022 Lawrence County Schools Pay Scales/Salary Schedules
    2. Approve creation and/or changes regarding positions
    3. Approve the use of instructional assistants (including overtime pay) to address the scarcity of bus monitor applicants
    4. Approve Declaration of Emergency regarding Biology Teacher at Lawrence County High School for the 2021-2022 school year
    5. Approve to acknowledge receipt of Superintendent’s Personnel Action/Update

    Shouldn’t they decide on how we’re going to keep our children safe with in person learning instead of ignoring it like it doesn’t exist??

    I noticed something missing, where are the public comments? Or does the great Dr. Fletcher, not allow that sort of thing?

    Pretty sure the school start date needs to be pushed back. LC covid numbers are not good. Not safe for the kids or the families they go home to.
