4.A. Superintendent’s Update

4.A.1. Lawrence County Schools closed the year with high hopes on the state accountability results.  A recap of the 2023 testing results is included.

4.A.2. Lawrence County High School met all 7 performance indicators for Kentucky CTE programs.  (See packet for more details.)

4.A.3. Lawrence County Schools will be a part of the statewide computer science pathway pilot for the 2024-2025 school year.  (New pathway)

4.A.4. The Lawrence County Public Library has, once again, donated $5000 in support of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. (Over 500 future students have been or are being served by the DPIL program.)

4.A.5. Mrs. Lindsey Case has been appointed by Governor Beshear to serve on the Kentucky Council on Post-Secondary Education.  

4.A.6. Lawrence County High School had five students recently sign their “national letters of intent” to become teachers.

4.A.7. Katie Webb and the District Resource Team have been selected to present at the KASA Leadership Institute in Louisville in July as an exemplar practice in Kentucky school districts.

4.A.8. Another school year has come to a close with the Commencement Ceremony that was held at the Lawrence County High School Gymnasium on Friday night.
