LAWRENCE COUNTY ARREST – SEPTEMBER 20-26, 2019

ARREST NUMBERS GO DOWN IN LAWRENCE COUNTY AND SURROUNDING COUNTIES THIS WEEK FROM THE PREVIOUS WEEK.

 

In the past 7 day period from 12:01 A.M. September 20,2019 thru to 11:59 P.M. September 26, 2019; there were at least 54 individuals who were arrested and were brought to be lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of those 54, 8 of those arrested were from Lawrence County.
 
In addition, there is an arrest that was missed to place in last week’s arrest report.
Six Lawrence County residents were arrested in other Kentucky counties (2 in Martin County, 2 in Pike County, 1 in Johnson County, and 1 in Bath County).
That is in comparison to the previous past just over 5 & 1/4 days period from 5:00 P.M. September 14, 2019 thru to 11:59 P.M. September 19, 2019; there were at least 72 individuals who were arrested and were brought to be lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of those 72, 12 of those arrested were from Lawrence County. Three Lawrence County residents were arrested in other Kentucky counties (2 in Boyd County, and 1 in Bourbon County). Also, a Fort Gay, West Virginia resident was arrested in Pike County, Kentucky.

 

The number of inmates that were lodged at the BSRDC in Paintsville was 212 as of 9:00 A.M., Friday, September 27, 2019. (It was at a high of 241 at the beginning of the previous weekend).
The names & criminal charges of those latest eight arrested in Lawrence County (plus the arrest that was missed from last week), along with the six Lawrence County residents arrested in other Kentucky county jurisdictions, are the following:

 

MISSED ARREST FROM LAST WEEK:
Gregory Allen Witham, 35, of Louisa, was arrested on September 19, 2019, at 11:52 A.M., by deputy Cory Cook of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department,and was charged with:
• FAILURE TO APPEAR,
• CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER (3 SEPARATE CHARGES COUNTS),
• THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION SHOPLIFTING UNDER/$500,
• CRIMINAL LITTERING,
• MENACING, 
• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.

Ethan H. Senters, 29, of Louisa, was arrested on September 21, 2019, at 12:39 P.M., by deputy Cory Cook of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION AUTO – $500 OR MORE BUT UNDER/$10,000,
• THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION ALL OTHERS UNDER/$500,
• BAIL JUMPING 1ST DEGREE.
Robert J. Fletcher, 52, of Blaine, Kentucky; was arrested on September 22, 2019, at 11:23 A.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• ASSAULT, 4TH DEGREE (DOMESTIC VIOLENCE) NO VISIBLE INJURY.
 
Brian A. Webb, 53, of Louisa, was arrested on September 24, 2019, at 5:08 P.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• IMPROPER REGISTRATION PLATE,
• DRIVING ON DUI SUSPENDED LICENSE -1ST OFFENSE.
 
John A. Sturgill, 33, of Martha, Kentucky; was arrested on September 24, 2019, at 9:24 P.M., by Constable Daniel Castle, of the Lawrence County Constable Office-District 3, and was charged with:
• FAILURE TO APPEAR, CITATION FOR MISDEMEANOR (TWO SEPARATE CHARGES COUNTS).
Corbie A. Fyffe, 56, of Blaine, Kentucky; was arrested on September 24, 2019, at 9:36 P.M., by Constable Daniel Castle, of the Lawrence County Constable Office-District 3, and was charged with:
• ALCOHOL INTOXICATION IN A PUBLIC PLACE (1ST & 2ND OFFENSE),
* #2 POSSESSION OF OPEN ALCOHOL BEVERAGE CONTAINER IN MOTOR VEHICLE PROHIBITED,
• POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA.
 
Bret M. Thomas, 29, of Louisa, was arrested on September 25,2019, at 12:41 A.M.,by sergeant Steven Wilburn, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:
• FRAUDULENT USE CREDIT CARD UNDER/$500 WITHIN/6 MONTH PERIOD,
• CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF FORGED INSTRUMENT 2ND DEGREE(IDENTIFY),
• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS,
•  POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 2ND DEGREE – DRUG UNSPECIFIED,
• CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.
 
Cody Blankenship, 24, of Louisa, was arrested on September 25,2019,at 12:55 A.M.,by sergeant Steven Wilburn, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:
• FRAUDULENT USE CREDIT CARD UNDER/$500 WITHIN/6 MONTH PERIOD,
• CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF FORGED INSTR 2ND DEGREE (IDENTIFY),
• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS,
•  POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 2ND DEGREE – DRUG UNSPECIFIED. 
 
 
James Lee Wellman, 46, of Hastings, Michigan; was arrested on September 25, 2019, at 7:47 P.M., by Constable Daniel Castle, of the Lawrence County Constable Office-District 2, and was charged with:
• FAILURE TO COMPLY WITHIN/SEX OFFENDER REGISTRATION (1ST OFFENSE).

Timmy Mullett, 40, of Louisa, was arrested in Martin County, Ky. on September 20, 2019, at 11:12 P.M., by Constable Tony Preece, of the Martin County Constable Office-District 4, and was charged with:
• POSSESSION OF HANDGUN BY CONVICTED FELON, 
• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE),
• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS (TWO SEPARATE CHARGES COUNTS),
• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE 1ST OFFENSE – (DRUG UNSPECIFIED)-[2 SEPARATE CHARGES COUNTS].
 
 
 
James Marcum, 27, of Louisa, was arrested in Martin County, Ky. on September 20,2019,at 11:16 P.M., by a deputy of the Martin County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• DRIVING ON SUSPENDED OR REVOKED OPERATORS LICENSE.
Christopher A. Skaggs, 41, of Lomansville, Kentucky; was arrested in Johnson County, Ky. on September 21, 2019, at 7:41 P.M., by an officer of the Paintsville Police Department, and was charged with:
• DRIVING ON SUSPENDED OR REVOKED OPERATORS LICENSE,
• FAILURE TO OR IMPROPER SIGNAL,
• BOOSTER SEAT VIOLATIONS,
• IMPROPER PASSING,
• SERVING TWO BENCH WARRANTS FOR COURT.
Randall E. Boggs, 20, of Louisa, was transferred to Pike County, Ky. on September 23, 2019, at 9:47 A.M., from Lawrence County, by deputy Joseph Wojtowicz, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• HOLD FOR PSAP 9/23/19 LAWRENCE COUNTY.
Benjamin P. Accord, 49, of Louisa, was transferred to Pike County, Ky. on September 23, 2019, at 9:47 A.M., from Lawrence County, by deputy Joseph Wojtowicz, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• HOLD FOR PSAP 9/23/19 LAWRENCE COUNTY.
Jonathan Mullins, 33, of Louisa, was arrested in Bath County, Ky. on September 24, 2019, at 10:49 A.M., by deputy Wheeler of the Martin County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• VIOLATION OF A KENTUCKY EPO/DVO (3 SEPARATE CHARGES COUNTS),
• ASSAULT, 4TH DEGREE (MINOR INJURY),
• ALCOHOL INTOXICATION IN A PUBLIC PLACE (1ST & 2ND OFFENSE),
•THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION ALL OTHERS UNDER/$500.

    Pretty sure I saw Mullins on Boyd County Jail site and arrested by Wheeler with Boyd County Sheriff Department.

    I’ll go ahead and list sentencing for all these cases. Diversion/probation. Thank you ladies and gentleman, this court is now adjourned. The balif will show you out. NOTE: if you can’t make it here next month, please note that sentencing will be the same and a different name will be used.
