JAIL ARRESTS IN THE PAST SIX AND A QUARTER DAYS OF  WERE AROUND AVERAGE IN LAWRENCE COUNTY, BUT THE SURROUNDING COUNTIES THAT USE THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION CENTER, THEIR ARREST NUMBERS HAVE DROPPED EVEN MORE SIGNIFICANTLY THIS PAST WEEK THAN IN THE PREVIOUS WEEK, AND HAVE STAYED MOSTLY BELOW AVERAGE THIS MONTH WHEN COMPARED TO THE PREVIOUS WEEKS DURING THIS SUMMER.

From 7:28 P.M., September 8, 2016 to 11:59 P.M., September 14, 2016; 67 arrested individuals were brought into the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. 83 arrested individuals were brought into the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky From 12:01 A.M., September 1, 2016 to 7:27 P.M., September 8.

Out of the 67 arrested individuals brought to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in this last 6 1/4 day period of September 8-14, 13 arrests were from Lawrence County. There have been a total of 25 arrests so far this month in Lawrence County).

The number of people booked each day from late September 8 thru September 14 at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville was as the following: THURSDAY EVENING-SEPTEMBER 8: 3, FRIDAY-SEPTEMBER 9: 9, SATURDAY-SEPTEMBER 10: 13, SUNDAY-SEPTEMBER 11: 8, MONDAY-SEPTEMBER 12: 10, TUESDAY-SEPTEMBER 13: 14, WEDNESDAY-SEPTEMBER 13: 10.

Those thirteen individuals arrested in Lawrence County in the past six and 1/4 days are the following: 

Jeremy VanoverJeremy Vanover, 39, of Louisa, was arrested on September 8, 2016, at 7:28 P.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • DRIVING ON DUI SUSPENDED LICENSE -1ST OFFENSE, • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 2ND OFFENSE,  • OPERATING ON SUSPENDED OR REVOKED OPERATOR LICENSE, • FAILURE OF NON-OWNER OPERATOR TO MAINTAIN REQUIRED INSURANCE/SECURITY, 1ST OFFENSE, •  NO REGISTRATION RECEIPT,

William M. MuncyWilliam M. Muncy, 41, of Fort Gay, West Virginia; was arrested on September 9, 2016, at 1:22 P.M., by chief deputy Mark Wheeler of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • BURGLARY, 3RD DEGREE,  • OPERATING ON SUSPENDED OR REVOKED OPERATING LICENSE, • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE 1ST OFFENSE (DRUG UNSPECIFIED).

Jessica M FergusonJessica M. Ferguson, 27, of Martha, Kentucky; was arrested on September 10, 2016, at 1:50 A.M., by deputy Dwayne Bowen of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • ALCOHOL INTOXICATION IN A PUBLIC PLACE (1ST & 2ND OFFENSE).

Douglas W. CollinsDouglas W. Collins, 21, of Martha, Kentucky; was arrested on September 10, 2016, at 1:54 A.M., by deputy Mason Keefer of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • INSTRUCTIONAL PERMIT VIOLATIONS, • OPERATIONAL MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE.

Randy T. L. JusticeRandy T. L. Justice, 37, of Louisa, turned himself in September 10, 2016 at 4:00 P.M., to the Lawrence County Sheriff Department to serve a guilty plea jail sentence with: CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.

Bethla F. StumpBethla F. Stump, 34, of Louisa, was arrested on September 10, 2016, at 5:19 P.M., by patrolman officer Hunter James of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT.

Robert E. ClayRobert E. Clay, 53, of Louisa, was arrested on September 11, 2016, at 3:07 A.M., by patrolman officer Julius Musick of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION SHOPLIFTING UNDER/ $500.

Lori. L. HallLori. L. Hall, 43, of Louisa; was arrested on September 11, 2016, at 7:16 P.M., by chief deputy Mark Wheeler of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL /DRUGS/ ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE.

Roxanne L. PriceRoxanne L. Price, 37, of Louisa; was arrested on September 11, 2016, at 7:30 P.M., by chief deputy Mark Wheeler of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • PUBLIC INTOXICATION-CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (EXCLUDES ALCOHOL).

Richard A. LaneyRichard A. Laney, 56, of Louisa, turned himself in September 12, 2016 at 5:14 P.M., to the Lawrence County Sheriff Department to serve a guilty plea jail sentence with: CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.

Cole Frederick MayCole Frederick May, 32, of Cave City, Kentucky; turned himself in September 14, 2016 at 12:36 P.M., to the Lawrence County Sheriff Department to serve a guilty plea jail sentence with: CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.

Tammy S. WebbTammy S. Webb, 56, of Paintsville, Kentucky; was arrested on September 14, 2016, at 12:43 P.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT.

 Taleka S. Smith SescoTaleka S. Smith-Sesco, 32, of Wellington, Kentucky; turned herself in September 14, 2016 at 12:50 P.M., to the Lawrence County Sheriff Department to serve a guilty plea jail sentence with: CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.
