LAWRENCE COUNTY ARREST LIST – SEPTEMBER 15-24, 2018

SEVERAL “STICKY FINGERS” ARRESTS; LOUISA MAN REMAINS JAILED AFTER TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO FOOT CHASE, FELONY ASSAULT OF MARTIN CO. DEPUTY.

 

In the 9+ day period from 4:18 P.M. September 15 to to 4:17 P.M. September 24, there were at least 94 individuals who were arrested and were brought to be lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of those 94, 13 of those arrested were from Lawrence County.

That is in comparison to the previous 9 day period from 5:00 P.M. September 7 to to 4:18 P.M. September 15, there were at least 79 individuals who were arrested and were brought to be lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of those 79, 10 of those arrested were from Lawrence County.

Also, 8 Lawrence County residents were arrested in other Kentucky county jurisdictions ( 3 in Martin County, 3 in Johnson County, 1 in Boyd County, and 1 in Pike County). That is compared to 7 in the arrest report last week.

The number of inmates being held at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville at sunrise Tuesday morning September 25 was 228.

The names and criminal charges of the latest 13 Lawrence County arrests, as well as the 8 Lawrence County residents were arrested in other Kentucky county jurisdictions, are the following:

 

Elizabeth Sartin, 22, of Genoa, West Virginia; was arrested on September 15, 2018, at 5:45 P.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION SHOPLIFTING UNDER/$500.

 

 

 

 

Pauline M. Meade, 40, of Louisa, was taken into custody and booked on September 15, 2018, at 5:45 P.M., by patrolman officer Hunter James of the Louisa police Department, to serve a guilty plea jail sentence: • CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.

 

 

 

 

Louri W. McKinney, 34, of Crum, West Virginia; was arrested on September 15, 2018, at 7:12 P.M., by an officer of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION SHOPLIFTING UNDER/$500.

 

 

 

 

James Luther Cook, 33, of Louisa, was arrested on September 17, at 11:16 A.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT.

 

 

 

 

 

Joseph A. Davis, 42 of Stony Point, North Carolina, was arrested on September 17, at 3:31 P.M., by chief deputy Mark Wheeler of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE), • DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.

 

 

 

 

April Ann Harper, 34, of Louisa, was arrested on September 17, at 3:34 P.M., by chief deputy Mark Wheeler of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE),

• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS,

• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (< 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE),

• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/ POSSESS,

• SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT,

• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE),

• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS,

• KNOW FRAUDULENTLY USE ID CARD OR ELECTRONIC CODE FOR BENEFITS,

• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE 1ST OFFENSE (DRUG UNSPECIFIED),

• THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION SHOPLIFTING UNDER/$500.

 

Green W. Ramey, 38, of Louisa, was arrested on September 19, at 4:37 P.M., by chief deputy Mark Wheeler of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION AUTO – $500 OR MORE BUT UNDER/$10,000.

 

 

 

 

Del Ray Griffith, 44, of Louisa, was arrested on September 20, at 1:31 A.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

 

• OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS /ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE.

 

 

 

Christina R. Salyers-Johnson, 35, of Louisa, was arrested on September 22, 2018, at 3:16 P.M., by an officer of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:

• THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION SHOPLIFTING UNDER/$500.

 

 

 

 

Marty Welch, 53, of Inez, Kentucky; was arrested on September 22, 2018, at 5:11 P.M., by an officer of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:

 

• THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION SHOPLIFTING UNDER /$500.

 

 

 

 

Wendy Coleman, 48, of Ashcamp, Kentucky; was arrested on September 22, 2018, at 5:15 P.M., by an officer of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dustin L. Fyffe, 29, of Louisa, was arrested on September 23, at 1:43 A.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• ASSAULT, 4TH DEGREE (DOMESTIC VIOLENCE) MINOR INJURY.

 

 

 

 

Crystal Dawn Cordle, 45, of Louisa, was arrested on September 24, 2018 at 3:28 P.M., by officer Billy Slone of the Kentucky Department of Corrections Division of Probation and Parole, and was charged with: • PROBATION VIOLATION (FOR FELONY OFFENSE).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Steve Akers, 46,of Lomansville, Kentucky; was arrested in Johnson County on September 15, 201 at 9:19 P.M., by a trooper of the Kentucky State Police-Post #9-Pikeville, and was charged with:

• OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE,

• POSSESSION OF OPEN ALCOHOL BEVERAGE CONTAINER IN MOTOR VEHICLE PROHIBITED,

• OPERATING ATV ON ROADWAY,

• NO REGISTRATION PLATES,

• NO REGISTRATION RECEIPT,

• FAILURE TO PRODUCE INSURANCE CARD.

 

 

Ashley Fields, 33, of Louisa, was arrested in Martin County on September 15, 2018, at 10:01 P.M., by deputy Billy Patrick of the Martin County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/ INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE,

• FLEEING OR EVADING POLICE, 1ST DEGREE (ON FOOT),

• RESISTING ARREST,

• DISORDERLY CONDUCT, 2ND DEGREE,

• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE),

• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS,

• ASSAULT 3RD DEGREE-POLICE OFFICER OR PROBATION OFFICER.

 

 

Kelly K. Collins. 40, of Louisa, was transferred to the Boyd County Detention Center in Catlettsburg, Kentucky on September 18, 2018, at 1:53 P.M., after being arrested by the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, to face in Boyd County, Kentucky:

CHARGES UNKNOWN.

 

 

 

 

Jamie Marcum, 32, of Lomansville, Kentucky; was arrested in Johnson County on September 17, 201 at 8:16 P.M., by chief deputy Kevin Pelphrey, of the Johnson County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• FLEEING OR EVADING POLICE, 1ST DEGREE (MOTOR VEHICLE),

• WANTON ENDANGERMENT-1ST DEGREE,

• FLEEING OR EVADING POLICE, 1ST DEGREE (ON FOOT),

• THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION AUTO – $10,000 OR MORE BUT UNDER/$1,000,000,

• ESCAPE 3RD DEGREE,

• RESISTING ARREST,

• DISORDERLY CONDUCT, 1ST DEGREE.

 

 

Lloyd Brown, 48, of Louisa, was transferred to the Pike County Detention Center in Pikeville, Kentucky on September 21, 2018, at 11:34 A.M., after being arrested by the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, to face in Pike County, Kentucky:

 

• COC 9-21-18 LAWRENCE COUNTY FOR PSAP MUST RETURN TO LAWRENCE COUNTY.

 

 

Treana Jennings, 36, of Louisa, was taken into custody and booked in Martin County on September 21, 2018, at 6:55 P.M., by the Martin County Sheriff Department, to serve a guilty plea weekend jail sentence:

 

• CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/ SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.

 

 

 

Jason L. Skaggs, 37, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested in Johnson County on September 23, 2018, at 9:09 A.M., by an officer of the Paintsville Police Department, and was charged with:
