From 12:01 A.M. May 23 thru to 11:59 P.M., May 31, there were at least 102 individuals who were arrested and brought to be lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of those 102 or so, 14 of those arrested were from Lawrence County.

As of 6:00 A.M., Sunday morning June 3, there were 357 inmates lodged at Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville; in which the maximum designated capacity for the BSRDC is to hold 225 inmates. That is just under 59% overcapacity, and an all time high for the BSRDC. For comparison, the Pike County Detention Center in Pikeville, Kentucky, as of 8 A.M. Tuesday morning, May 29, has 394 inmates booked, in a facility that designated maximum capacity is for 400 inmates. That is at 98.5% capacity.

Another 4 Lawrence County residents were arrested elsewhere: 2 in Johnson County, 2 in Boyd County, and 1 Louisa resident who was transported to Carter County Ky. on a federal case by the U.S. Marshals Service.

The names and criminal charges of the latest 14 Lawrence County arrests ( and the 4 out of county arrests) are the following:

Kimbery MaynardKimberly Maynard, 20, of Louisa, was arrested on May 23, 2018, at 5:40 P.M., by an officer of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:

• FAILURE TO APPEAR.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jerry DanielsJerry Daniels, 70, of Ulysses, Kentucky; was arrested on May 23, 2018, at 11:07 P.M., by trooper Bryan Layne of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with:

• ASSAULT, 4TH DEGREE (NO VISIBLE INJURY).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Earl R. judeEarl R. Jude, 30, of Tomahawk, Kentucky; was arrested on May 24, 2018, at 7:17 P.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION AUTO – $500 OR MORE BUT UNDER/$10,000.

• PERSISTENT FELONY OFFENDER II.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Robert ParkerRobert Parker, 35, of Blaine, Kentucky; was taken into custody and booked on May 25, 2018, at 12:51 A.M., in the Lawrence County Court, by the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, to serve a guilty plea jail sentences

• CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.

 

 

 

 

 

Joshua Q. CyrusJoshua Q. Cyrus, 43, of Louisa, was taken into custody and booked on May 25, 2018, at 1:40 P.M., in the Lawrence County Court, by the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with

• ASSAULT, 2ND DEGREE,

• INTIMIDATING A PARTICIPANT IN THE LEGAL PROCESS.

 

 

 

 

Segar AdkinsSegar Adkins, 19, of Louisa, was arrested on May 25, 2018, at 11:09 P.M., by deputy Mason Keefer of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY UNDER/$500,

• SERVING 2 BENCH WARRANTS FOR COURT,

• RECKLESS DRIVING,

• FAILURE OF NON-OWNER OPERATOR TO MAINTAIN REQUIRED INSURANCE/SECURITY,1ST OFFENSE,

• OPERATING ON SUSPENDED OR REV OPERATORS LICENSE.

 

 

 

 

 

Charles James HensleyCharles James Hensley, 22, of Louisa, was arrested on May 26 ,2018, at 1:04 A.M., by deputy Mack Wilhite of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• SERVING PAROLE VIOLATION WARRANT,

• SERVING 2 BENCH WARRANTS FOR COURT.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Tabitha JudeTabitha Jude, 47, of Louisa, was arrested on May 28, 2018, at 11:45 P.M., by a trooper of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with:

• PUBLIC INTOXICATION-CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (EXCLUDES ALCOHOL).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Kevin LesterKevin Lester, 33, of Louisa, was arrested on May 29, 2018, at 3:44 P.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Benjamin P. AccordBenjamin P. Accord, 47, of Louisa, was arrested on May 29, 2018, at 6:57 P.M., by patrolman officer Steven Wilburn of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:

• FAILURE TO WEAR SEAT BELTS,

• OPERATING ON SUSPENDED OR REVOKED OPERATORS LICENSE,

• IMPROPER REGISTRATION PLATE,

• NO REGISTRATION PLATES,

• FAILURE OF OWNER TO MAINTAIN REQUIRED INSURANCE/SECURITY, 1ST OFFENSE,

• CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL /SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.

Jake WrightJake Wright, 29, of Louisa, was arrested on May 30, 2018, at 2:08 P.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE.

 

 

 

 

 

Christopher A. SkaggsChristopher A. Skaggs, 40 of Lomansville, Kentucky; was arrested on May 31, 2018, at 7:32 P.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT,

• FAILURE TO WEAR SEAT BELTS

• DRIVING DUI SUSPENDED LICENSE – 1ST OFFENSE (AGGRAVATING CIRCUMSTANCES).

• FEDERAL PRISONER HELD-IN TRANSIT/COURT/ SERVEOUT.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Tracy H. SmithTracy H. Smith, 53, of Louisa, was arrested in Boyd County on May 30, 2018, at 2:24 P.M., by an officer of the Catlettsburg Police Department, and was charged with:

• SPEEDING 18 MPH OVER LIMIT,
