LAWRENCE COUNTY ARREST LIST – JANUARY 13-16, 2017

AFTER A BLITZ OF ARRESTS IN BOTH LAWRENCE COUNTY AND THE OTHER COUNTIES THAT USE THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION CENTER, ARRESTS DECLINED IN THE OTHER COUNTIES, BUT LAWRENCE COUNTY REMAINED AT WAY ABOVE LEVELS AGAIN, ACCOUNTING FOR NEARLY A THIRD OF ALL ARRESTS OVER THE MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. HOLIDAY PERIOD. NEARLY A MAJORITY OF THE ARREST OCCURRED ON FRIDAY THE 13TH.

The number of people booked each day from January 13 thru January 16 at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville was as the following: FRIDAY-JANUARY 13: 18, SATURDAY-JANUARY 14: EIGHT, SUNDAY-JANUARY 15: SEVEN, MONDAY-JANUARY 16: FIVE.

Those individuals arrested in Lawrence County in the past four days are the following:

Shawn A. FitzpatrickShawn A. Fitzpatrick, 19, of Louisa, was arrested on January 13, 2017, at 1:36 P.M., by deputy Rodney Lycans, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • SERVING TWO BENCH WARRANTS FOR COURT, • SPEEDING 17 MPH OVER LIMIT, • OPERATING ON SUSPENDED OR REVOKED OPERATOR LICENSE ( TWO SEPARATE COUNTS).

 

 

Elmer MarcumElmer L. Marcum Jr., 34, of Genoa, West Virginia; turned himself in January 13, 2017, at 2:24 P.M., to the Lawrence County Sheriff Department to serve a guilty plea weekend jail sentence with: • CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.

 

 

Kenneth L. FitchKenneth L. Fitch, 43, of Blaine, Kentucky; turned himself in January 13, 2017, at 5:39 P.M., to the Lawrence County Sheriff Department to serve a guilty plea weekend jail sentence with: • CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.

 

 

 

Green W. RameyGreen W. Ramey, 36, of Louisa, was arrested on January 13, 2017, at 6:04 P.M., by deputy Chuck Jackson, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION – AUTOMOBILE – $10,000 OR MORE BUT UNDER/ $1,000,000, • WANTON ENDANGERMENT-1ST DEGREE.

 

 

 

James Stephen BurchetteJames Stephen Burchette, 37, of Louisa, was arrested on January 14, 2017, at 11:44 A.M., by chief deputy Mark Wheeler, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • WANTON ENDANGERMENT-1ST DEGREE.

 

 

 

Lowell G. HayesLowell G. Hayes, 55, of Louisa, was arrested on January 14, 2017, at 2:25 P.M., by chief deputy Mark Wheeler, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION – AUTOMOBILE – $10,000 OR MORE BUT UNDER/ $1,000,000, • PERSISTENT FELONY OFFENDER II.

 

 

 

Michael K. Cordle. Michael Kyle Cordle, 21, of Blaine, Kentucky; was arrested on January 14, 2017, at 2:45 P.M., by chief deputy Mark Wheeler, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE), • TRAFFICKING IN MARIJUANA ( LESS THAN 8 OZ.) 1ST OFFENSE.

 

 

Charles E. SpillmanCharles E. Spillman, 53, of Louisa, was arrested on January 14, 2017, at 8:02 P.M., by deputy Dwayne Bowen, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE U/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE, • OPERATING ON SUSPENDED OR REVOKED OPERATOR LICENSE.
