FROM 12:00 A.M., DECEMBER 9, 2021, THRU TO 11:59 P.M. DECEMBER 19, 2021, (11 DAYS); AT LEAST 92 PEOPLE WERE ARRESTED FROM JOHNSON, LAWRENCE, MAGOFFIN, AND MARTIN COUNTIES COMBINED, AND WERE BOOKED AT THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION  CENTER IN PAINTSVILLE.
OUT OF THOSE 92 ARRESTS, 22 ARRESTS WERE FROM LAWRENCE COUNTY.
 
SEPARATELY, FOUR (4) LAWRENCE COUNTY RESIDENT WERE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY IN OTHER NEIGHBORING COUNTIES JURISDICTIONS (TWO (2) IN MARTIN COUNTY, AND ONE (1) IN JOHNSON COUNTY).
 
PREVIOUSLY, FROM 12:00 A.M., DECEMBER 1, 2021, THRU TO 11:59 P.M. DECEMBER 30, 2021, (8 DAYS); AT LEAST 93 PEOPLE WERE ARRESTED FROM JOHNSON, LAWRENCE, MAGOFFIN, AND MARTIN COUNTIES COMBINED, AND WERE BOOKED AT THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION  CENTER IN PAINTSVILLE. OUT OF THOSE 93 ARRESTS, 26 ARRESTS WERE FROM LAWRENCE COUNTY. SEPARATELY, ONE (1) LAWRENCE COUNTY RESIDENT WERE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY IN OTHER NEIGHBORING COUNTIES JURISDICTIONS (1 IN MARTIN COUNTY).
 
AT 6:00 A.M., MONDAY, DECEMBER 20, 2021, THERE WERE 249 INMATES LODGED AT THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION CENTER IN PAINTSVILLE, KENTUCKY. THE ‘MAXIMUM DESIGNATED CAPACITY’ OF THE BSRDC IS FOR 225.
HERE ARE THE LATEST TWENTY-TWO (22) ARRESTS IN LAWRENCE COUNTY, ALONG WITH THE FOUR (4) LAWRENCE COUNTY RESIDENT IN MARTIN COUNTY, ARE AS THE FOLLOWING:
 

Sean A. Antis, 44, of David, Kentucky; was taken into custody on December 9, 2021, at 12:35 P.M., by the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, to serve a guilty plea jail sentence: • CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.

Pamela J Stitltner, 42, of Louisa, Kentucky; was taken into custody on December 9, 2021, at 7:30 P.M., by an officer of the Louisa Police Department, to serve a guilty plea jail sentence “weekender”: • CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.


Larry Jody Maynard, 47, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested on December 10, 2021, at 2:31 A.M., by deputy Joseph Osborne, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, & was charged with: • PROBATION VIOLATION (FOR FELONY OFFENSE), • FAILURE TO APPEAR, CITATION FOR MISDEMEANOR, • TRAFFICKING IN MARIJUANA ( LESS THAN 8 OZ.) 1ST OFFENSE, •TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (> OR = 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE), • DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/ POSSESS.

Rachel Mills, 47, of Fort Gay, West Virginia; was arrested on December 10, 2021, at 2:31 A.M., by deputy Joseph Osborne, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, & was charged with: • TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (> OR = 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE), TRAFFICKING IN MARIJUANA (LESS THAN 8 OZ.) 1ST OFFENSE, • DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/ POSSESS.

Joe E. Gillum, 57, of Martha, Kentucky; was arrested on December 10, 2021, at 8:16 P.M., by deputy Joseph Osborne, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, & was charged with via a complaint warrant: • ASSAULT, 1ST DEGREE, • WANTON ENDANGERMENT-1ST DEGREE, • POSSESSION OF FIREARM BY CONVICTED FELON, • TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE.


Natasha N. Marcum, 36, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested on December 11, 2021, at 10:52 P.M., by deputy Joseph Osborne, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, & was charged with: • REAR LICENSE NOT ILLUMINATED, • OPERATING VEHICLE WITH EXPIRED OPERATORS LICENSE, • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL .08 (189A.010(1A) – 1ST OFFENSE.

John R. Childers, 43, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested on December 12, 2021, at 8:38 P.M., by trooper Tyler Daniels, of the Kentucky State Police, & was charged with: • FAILURE TO APPEAR • OPERATORS MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL .08 (189A.010(1A) – 1ST OFFENSE, • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST OFFENSE, 2ND DEGREE.
Clarence J. Harless, 50, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested on December 13, 2021, at 1:30 A.M., by trooper Wesley Music, of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with: • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE 1ST OFFENSE (HEROIN), • DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS, • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE).
Charles L. West, 50, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested on December 13, 2021, at 1:46 A.M., and was charged with: • NON-PAYMENT OF COURT COSTS, FEES OR FINES.

Jonathan Nathaniel Young, 32, of Webbville, Kentucky; was arrested at the Lawrence County Judicial Center, on December 13, 2021, at 10:35 A.M., by court security officer Melody Salyers, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with after appearing originally in & brought from Carter County District Court for the serving of Lawrence County bench warrants: • FAILURE TO WEAR SEAT BELTS, • FAILURE TO PRODUCE INSURANCE CARD, • NO REGISTRATION RECEIPT, • FAILURE TO REGISTER TRANSFER OF MOTOR VEHICLE, • FAILURE TO WEAR SEAT BELTS, • OPERATING ON SUSPENDED OR REVOKED OPERATING LICENSE.
 

Vondy A. Jude, 36, of Lowmansville, Kentucky; was arrested on December 13, 2021, at 8:21 P.M., by chief deputy-sergeant Mason Keefer, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, & was charged with: • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL .08 (189A.010(1A) – 1ST OFFENSE, • POSSESSION OF HANDGUN BY CONVICTED FELON, •POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 2ND OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE), • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 3RD DEGREE – DRUG UNSPECIFIED.
 

Nicholas R. Pack, 25, of Kermit, West Virginia; was arrested at the Lawrence County Judicial Center, on December 14, 2021, at 10:00 A.M., by court security officer Rodney Lycans, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with via the serving of Lawrence County bench warrants: • NO REGISTRATION PLATES, • FAILURE TO REGISTER TRANSFER OF MOTOR VEHICLE, • IMPROPER DISPLAY OF REGISTRATION PLATES,• OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE SUBSTANCE (189A.010(1C) – 1ST OFFENSE.
 

Donna J. Church, 60, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested at the Lawrence County Judicial Center, on December 14, 2021, at 9:45 A.M., by court security officer Rodney Lycans,of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department,& was charged with: • CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.
 
April Ann Harper, 37, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested on December 13, 2021, at 3:15 P.M., by Sheriff Chuck Jackson, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, & was charged with via three grand jury indictments: • TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (3 SEPARATE CHARGES COUNTS), • POSSESSION OF HANDGUN BY CONVICTED FELON, • ENGAGING IN ORGANIZED CRIME, 
 

Pauline McKenzie, 36, of West Liberty,Kentucky; was arrested on December 15, 2021, at 9:00 P.M.,by deputy Joseph Osborne,of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, & was charged with:• ONE HEADLIGHT, •NO OPERATORS-MOPED LICENSE,• OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/SUBSTANCE (189A.010(1E) – 1ST OFFENSE.
 
Billie C. Voorhies, 61, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested on December 16, 2021, at 1:30 A.M.,by trooper Traci Nelson, of the Kentucky State Police,and was charged with: • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE SUBSTANCE (189A.010(1C) – 1ST OFFENSE, • FAILURE TO WEAR SEAT BELTS, • NO REGISTRATION RECEIPT, • NO REGISTRATION PLATES, • IMPROPER REGISTRATION PLATE.


Earl R Jude Jr., 30, of Inez, Kentucky; was arrested on December 16, 2021, at 9:00 P.M.,by the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, & was charged with: • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE 1ST OFFENSE (DRUG UNSPECIFIED), • PRESCRIPTION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE NOT PROPER CONTAINER 1ST OFFENSE, • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (189A.010(1D) – 1ST OFFENSE, •FAILURE TO PRODUCE INSURANCE CARD, • FAILURE TO WEAR SEAT BELTS, • INADEQUATE SILENCER (MUFFLER) • NO REGISTRATION RECEIPT, • OPERATING ON SUSPENDED OR REVOKED OPERATORS LICENSE, • REAR LICENSE NOT ILLUMINATED.
 

Homer R. Mills-Maynard, 33,of Ashland,Kentucky;was arrested on December 17,2021, at 12:20 A.M.,by deputy Joseph Osborne,of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • FAILURE TO APPEAR.
 

Mason Masters, 25, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested on December 17, 2021, at 12:25 A.M., by patrolman officer Jeffrey Chase Kirk, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER, FAILURE  TO APPEAR,•  FAILURE TO APPEAR, CITATION FOR MISDEMEANOR

Christopher Terry, 43, of Clearfield, Kentucky; was arrested on December 17,2021, at 12:20 A.M.,by deputy Joseph Osborne,of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE).
Ike L. Montgomery, 25, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested on December 19, 2021, at 5:57 P.M., by patrolman officer Jeffrey Chase Kirk, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: FAILURE  TO APPEAR.

William Blackburn Jr., 38, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested in Martin County in the Martin County District Court, on December 13, 2021,at 2:37 P.M.,by deputy Dustin Jude, of the Martin County Sheriff Department, and was charged with a grand jury indictment: • TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (> OR = 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE)-[2 SEPARATE CHARGES COUNTS], • TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST OFFENSE (HEROIN).

Robert D. Hammond, 55, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested in Johnson County on December 17, 2021, at 4:34 A.M., by trooper Mark Spencer, of the Kentucky State Police-Post 9-Pikeville, Ky.,& was charged with: • FAILURE TO APPEAR,• NON-PAYMENT OF COURT COSTS, FEES OR FINES, • DRIVING ON DUI SUSPENDED LICENSE -1ST OFFENSE, • NO REGISTRATION PLATES, • NO REGISTRATION RECEIPT, IMPROPER DISPLAY OF REGISTRATION PLATES, • FAILURE TO PRODUCE INSURANCE CARD, • FAILURE OF OWNER TO MAINTAIN REQUIRED INSURANCE/SECURITY, 1ST OFFENSE, LICENSE TO BE IN POSSESSION.


Gene E. Gartin, 52, of Louisa,Kentucky; was arrested in Johnson County on December 18, 2021, at 2:19 A.M., by trooper James Cress, of the Kentucky State Police-Post 9, Pikeville, Ky., & was charged with: • NON-PAYMENT OF COURT COSTS, FEES OR FINES.

    Love the way some people here have been arrested multiple times for basically the same charges and often between court dates, yet it always reads 1st offense.
    You can’t make this stuff up.
    Talk about a broken system.

      Some of these people may claim Louisa but they are not from here. It’s not being nosy to read articles in a online news source. I assume most would read it to have situational awareness of who the heathens are. Unfortunately it’s the same brood each posting.

    It reads 1st offense bc they haven’t plead guilty to the charge prior to being arrested a 2nd or 3rd time for the same thing.
