LAWRENCE LEADS IN NUMBER OF ARRESTS THIS PERIOD

LAWRENCE COUNTY ARREST LIST – DECEMBER 25 – JANUARY 5, 2016

 

THE ARREST RATES FOR BOTH LAWRENCE COUNTY AND ESPECIALLY THE SURROUNDING COUNTIES IN THE REGION PLUNGED INTO A NOSEDIVE FOR THE LAST WEEK OF DECEMBER (AND THE LAST WEEK OF 2016). 

THERE WERE NO ARRESTS IN LAWRENCE COUNTY FOR A FOUR DAY PERIOD, FROM DECEMBER 24 UNTIL DECEMBER 28; AND FOR THE LAST WEEK OF THE YEAR FROM CHRISTMAS EVE DECEMBER 24 THRU NEW YEARS EVE DECEMBER 31, THERE WERE ONLY 6 ARRESTS TOTAL IN LAWRENCE COUNTY.

BUT THE NUMBER OF ARRESTS HAVE SHOT UP SINCE THE BEGINNING OF THE NEW YEAR, AS THERE HAVE BEEN 11 ARRESTS IN LAWRENCE COUNTY IN JUST THE FIRST FOUR DAYS OF JANUARY. (THE NUMBER OF ARRESTS HAVE ALSO RISEN SIGNIFICANTLY IN THE NEIGHBORING COUNTIES AS WELL SINCE THE START OF 2017; AS FOR THERE WERE 61 ARRESTS IN THE LAST 7 DAYS OF 2016, AS COMPARED TO 59 FOR THE FIRST 5 DAYS OF 2017).

Those seventeen individuals arrested in Lawrence County in the past twelve days are the following: 

Sisaleah MaynardSisaleah Maynard, 26, of Stambaugh, Kentucky; was arrested on December 28, 2016, at 2:10 A.M., by patrolman officer Hunter James, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • SERVING WARRANT (FOR OTHER POLICE AGENCY).

 

 

 

 

Lowell Justin MaynardLowell Justin Maynard, 28, of Louisa, was arrested on December 28, 2016, at 7:00 P.M., by deputy Chuck Jackson, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE), • DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS, • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION ALL OTHERS UNDER/$500, • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 2ND DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (-DRUG UNSPECIFIED).

 

 

  

 

Denver Jackson

Denver Jackson, 41, of Columbus, Ohio; was arrested on December 29, 2016, at 7:02 P.M., by patrolman officer Hunter James, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION ALL OTHERS $500 OR MORE BUT UNDER/$10,000, • THEFT BY DECEPTION-INCLUDE COLD CHECKS UNDER/$10,000.

 

 

 

  

Elmer L. MarcumElmer L. Marcum Jr., 34, of Genoa, West Virginia; turned himself in December 30, 2016 at 3:12 P.M., to the Lawrence County Sheriff Department to serve a guilty plea weekend jail sentence with: • CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.

 

 

 

 

 

Roy ChildsRoy Childs, 35, of Louisa; was arrested on December 31, 2016, at 7:16 A.M., by a patrol officer of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • PUBLIC INTOXICATION-CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (EXCLUDES ALCOHOL).

 

 

 

 

Scott m DonahueScott M Donahoe, 31, of Louisa, was arrested on December 31, 2016, at 11:07 P.M., by deputy Dwayne Bowen, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE.

 

 

 

James GathofJames Gathof, 33, of Louisville, Kentucky; was arrested on January 1, 2016, at 5:12 A.M., by deputy Mack Wilhite, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • ASSAULT, 4TH DEGREE (DOMESTIC VIOLENCE) MINOR INJURY.

 

 

  

 

 

Billy Collins IIIBilly Collins III, 30, of Louisa, was arrested on January 2, 2016, at 2:49 A.M., by patrolman officer Julius Musick, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE, • FAILURE TO PRODUCE INSURANCE CARD, • NO REGISTRATION RECEIPT, • POSSESSION OF OPEN ALCOHOL BEVERAGE CONTAINER IN MOTOR VEHICLE PROHIBITED.

 

 

 

 

 

 

James E. FieldsJames E. Fields, 50, of Louisa, was arrested on January 2, 2016, at 2:50 A.M., by deputy Dwayne Bowen, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • ONE HEADLIGHT, • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE, • LICENSE TO BE IN POSSESSION.

 

 

 

 

Peggy S. WallacePeggy S. Wallace. 58, of Louisa, was arrested on January 2, 2016, at 3:07 A.M., by deputy Mack Wilhite, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE.

 

 

 

Jimmy D. MaynardJimmy D. Maynard, 37, of Louisa, was arrested on January 2, 2016, at 10:25 P.M., by deputy Dwayne Bowen, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • SERVING PAROLE VIOLATION WARRANT.

 

 

 

Keith PenixKeith Penix, 25, of Louisa, was arrested on January 2, 2016, at 10:36 P.M., by patrolman officer Julius Musick, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • PROBATION VIOLATION (FOR FELONY OFFENSE).

 

 

 

 

 

 

Devion B. BeairDevion B. Blair, 21, of Olive Hill, Kentucky; was arrested on January 4, 2016, at 6:13 P.M., by chief deputy Mark Wheeler, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION ALL OTHERS $500 OR MORE BUT UNDER/$10,000, • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION – FIREARM.

 

 

 

Carlene ScottCarlena Scott, 52, of Louisa; was arrested on January 4, 2016, at 8:15 P.M., by patrolman officer Steven Wilburn of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION SHOPLIFTING UNDER $500, • FAILURE TO APPEAR.

 

 

 

Roger CarterRoger Carter, 46, of Louisa, was arrested on January 4, 2016, at 8:22 P.M., by patrolman officer Julius Musick, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • NON PAYMENT OF FINES, • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION SHOPLIFTING UNDER $500.

 

 

 

 

 

Ernest D. Scott

Ernest D. Scott, 52, of Louisa; was arrested on January 4, 2016, at 8:27 P.M., by patrolman officer Steven Wilburn of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION SHOPLIFTING UNDER $500

 

 

 

 

 

Billy C. MarcumBilly C. Marcum, 47, of Fort Gay, West Virginia; was arrested on January 4, 2016, at 10:41 P.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • FAILURE TO OR IMPROPER SIGNAL, • DISREGARDING STOP SIGN. • CARRYING A CONCEALED WEAPON.
