22 INDIVIDUALS WERE ARRESTED IN LAWRENCE IN A SIX DAY PERIOD BETWEEN 12:01 A.M. DECEMBER 19 THRU UP TO 11:59 P.M. DECEMBER 24. NO ARRESTS IN THE COUNTY SINCE CHRISTMAS EVE. ANOTHER 2 LAWRENCE COUNTY RESIDENTS WERE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY IN NEIGHBORING COUNTIES ( ONE IN BOYD COUNTY, AND ONE IN JOHNSON COUNTY).
THERE WERE MULTIPLE MISDEMEANOR SHOPLIFTING ARRESTS. ALSO, THE WERE SEVERAL ARRESTS BY KSP TROOPERS DUE TO A HEAVIER THAN NORMAL STATE POLICE PRESENCE IN LAWRENCE COUNTY IN THE LEAD UP THRU THE CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY PERIOD.
LAWRENCE COUNTY ARRESTS MADE UP 22 OF THE AT LEAST 95 ARRESTED INDIVIDUALS BROUGHT TO THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION CENTER IN PAINTSVILLE. THERE WERE EXACTLY 300 INMATES BEING HOUSED AT THE BSRDC AT THE MORNING SUNRISE WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 27, 2017; IN WHICH THE DESIGNATED MAXIMUM INMATE CAPACITY FOR THE JAIL IS 225 INMATES.
THE NAMES AND CRIMINAL CHARGES OF THOSE 22 INDIVIDUALS ARRESTED IN LAWRENCE COUNTY (2 OUTSIDE THE COUNTY ) SINCE DECEMBER 19 ARE THE FOLLOWING:
James Jackson, 35, of Clinton, Tennessee was arrested on December 19, 2017, at 6:24 A.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS /ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE.

Nicole R. McComas, 34, of Prichard, West Virginia; was arrested on December 19, 2017, at 6:10 P.M., by an officer of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION SHOPLIFTING UNDER/$500.
Clifford Lee Smith, 33, of Prichard, West Virginia; was arrested on December 19, 2017, at 6:15 P.M., by an officer of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION SHOPLIFTING UNDER/$500.
Dakota Shortridge, 19, of Louisa, was arrested on December 20, 2017, at 1:31 A.M., by deputy Mason Keefer of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • MENACING, • HARASSMENT ( NO PHYSICAL CONTACT), • WANTON ENDANGERMENT-2ND DEGREE-POLICE OFFICER.
Austin Dotson, 19, of Louisa, was arrested on December 20, 2017, at 1:35 A.M., by deputy Mason Keefer of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • MENACING, • HARASSMENT ( NO PHYSICAL CONTACT), • WANTON ENDANGERMENT-2ND DEGREE-POLICE OFFICER.
Pacey Howell, 18, of Louisa, was arrested on December 20, 2017, at 1:42 A.M., by deputy Mason Keefer of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • MENACING, • HARASSMENT ( NO PHYSICAL CONTACT), • WANTON ENDANGERMENT-2ND DEGREE-POLICE OFFICER.
Jason Constantinou, 20, of Paintsville, Kentucky; was arrested on December 20, 2017, at 5:46 A.M., by a trooper of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with: • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL < 21 YEARS OF AGE .02-.07, • FAILURE TO PRODUCE INSURANCE CARD, • NO REGISTRATION RECEIPT, • IMPROPER PARKING FIRE LANE/BLOCK TRAVELED PORTION OF HIGHWAY.
Adam Perry, 39, of Louisa, was arrested on December 20, 2017 at 4:03 P.M., by officer Billy C. Slone of the Kentucky Department of Corrections Division of Probation and Parole, and was charged with: • PAROLE VIOLATION (FOR TECHNICAL VIOLATION).
Sheridan J. Frazier, 25, of Louisa, was arrested on December 20, 2017, at 8:55 P.M., by patrolman officer Julius Musick of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION SHOPLIFTING UNDER/$500, • RESISTING ARREST, • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 3RD DEGREE – DRUG UNSPECIFIED.
…Just 2 days earlier, Sheridan J. Frazier was arrested in Boyd County on December 18, 2017, at 12:42 P.M., by trooper Craig Morella of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with: • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE, • SPEEDING 11 MPH OVER LIMIT, • ONE HEADLIGHT, • POSSESSION OF OPEN ALCOHOL BEVERAGE CONTAINER IN MOTOR VEHICLE PROHIBITED, • FAILURE TO NOTIFY ADDRESS CHANGE TO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION.
Brian A. Roop, 31 of Louisa, was arrested on December 21, 2017, at 1:44 P.M., by trooper Billy Layne of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with: • NON PAYMENT OF FINES, • ENGAGING IN ORGANIZED CRIME, • PERSISTENT FELONY OFFENDER II.
Kaitlin Daniels, 24, of Louisa, was arrested on December 21, 2017, at 1:48 P.M., by trooper Craig Morella of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with: • ENGAGING IN ORGANIZED CRIME, • PERSISTENT FELONY OFFENDER II.
Francis David Diamond, 45, of Louisa, was arrested on December 21, 2017, at 6:51 P.M., by sergeant deputy Chuck Jackson of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE), • DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.
Kendra Spaudling, 18, of Louisa, was arrested on December 22, 2017, at 3:18 A.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • RECKLESS DRIVING.
Donnie K. Harris, 36, of Ulysses, Kentucky; was arrested on December 22, 2017, at 3:32 A.M., by trooper Daniel G. Vossmer of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with: • CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER, • FAILURE TO APPEAR, • NON PAYMENT OF FINES, • BURGLARY, 2ND DEGREE.

David Michael Coffey Jr., 31, of Asheville, Ohio; was arrested on December 24, 2017, at 3:51 A.M., by deputy Mack Wilhite of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE, • OPERATING ON SUSPENDED OR REVOKED OPERATORS LICENSE.
