14 arrested in Lawrence County

In the 6-plus day period from 12:00 P.M. August 6 thru to 4:47 P.M. August 12, there were at least 90 individuals who were arrested and were brought to be lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of those 90, 14 of those arrested were from Lawrence County.
For comparison, the previous 12 day period from 6:00 P.M. July 25 thru to 6:00 P.M., August 6, there were at least 143 individuals who were arrested and were brought to be lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of those 143, only 8 of those arrested were from Lawrence County.
Going back to the start of 12:01 A.M. July 25 thru to until 4:47 P.M. August 12, Lawrence County arrests out of the total arrests brought to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville was 24 out of 240. That is an even 10%. Two dozen out of 20 dozen total. 24 versus 216 of the 3 other official counties who are members and use the BSRDC jail (Johnson, Magoffin, and Martin counties ), with in addition also Morgan and Elliot counties.
The inmate count was at 303 as of 11:00 P.M. Sunday night August 12, but jumped overnight into early Monday morning 5 A.M. tp 315, for a facility that as built for a designated maximum capacity of 225.
The names and criminal charges of the latest 14 Lawrence County arrests are the following:
John David Young, 46, of Louisa was arrested on August 6, 2018, at 12:06 P.M., by trooper Forrest Newsome of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with:
• NON-PAYMENT OF FINES.
Evan L. Sizemore, 24, of Lovely, Kentucky; was arrested on August 7, 2018, at 5:35 A.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• ALCOHOL INTOXICATION IN A PUBLIC PLACE (1ST & 2ND OFFENSE).
Devana Lycans, 29, of Fort Gay, West Virginia was arrested on August 7, 2018, at 11:56 A.M., Sheriff Garrett Roberts of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE),
• TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE.
Ronnie Messer, 47, of Tomahawk, Kentucky; was arrested on August 7, 2018, at 6:31 P.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• FAILURE TO OR IMPROPER SIGNAL,
• NO REGISTRATION PLATES,
• NO REGISTRATION RECEIPT,
• FAILURE TO PRODUCE INSURANCE CARD,

James Slone, 45, of Topmost, Kentucky; was arrested on August 8, 2018, at 11:38 A.M., by chief deputy Mark Wheeler of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY UNDER/$500,
• PROBATION VIOLATION (FOR MISDEMEANOR OFFENSE),
• FLEEING OR EVADING POLICE, 2ND DEGREE (ON FOOT),

Amanda Charles, 36, of Louisville, Kentucky, was taken into custody and booked on August 8, 2018, at 12:24 P.M., by an officer of the Louisa Police Department, to serve a guilty plea jail sentence:

Loretta Waller, 41, of Louisa, was arrested on August 8, 2018, at 4:17 P.M., by an officer of the Louisa Police Department , and was charged with:

Mark C. Caudill, 31, of Louisa, was arrested on August 8, 2018, at 4:23 P.M., by an officer of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:

Tyler L. Branham, 34, of Louisa, was arrested on August 9, 2018, at 5:35 P.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
