LAWRENCE COUNTY ARREST LIST: APRIL 25-MAY 3, 2019

In the past 8 day period of 6:30 P.M. April 25, 2019 thru to 5:30 P.M. May 3, 2019; there were at least 89 individuals who were arrested and were brought to be lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of those 89, 16 of those arrested were from Lawrence County. Another 7 Lawrence County residents were arrested in neighboring and other Ky. counties ( 1 in Boyd County, 1 in Martin County, 1 in Pike County, 1 in Rowan County, and 1 in Bourbon County ). 
 
That is in comparison to the previous 7 & 3/4 day period of 12:01 A.M. April 18, 2019 thru to 6:30 P.M. April 25, 2019; there were at least 86 individuals who were arrested and were brought to be lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of those 86, 14 of those arrested were from Lawrence County. Another 7 Lawrence County residents were arrested in neighboring and other Ky. counties ( 1 in Johnson County, 1 in Boyd County, 2 in Martin County, 1 in Greenup County, 1 in Rowan County, and 1 in Fayette County ).
There were 232 inmates lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center as of 12:00 P.M., Saturday, May 4.
The names and criminal charges of the latest 16 people Lawrence County arrests,as well as the 5 Lawrence County residents arrested in other Ky. counties jurisdictions, are the following:

 

Lonnie L. Marcum, 37, of Louisa, self surrendered and was taken into custody and was booked on April 26, 2019, at 12:30 P.M., in the Lawrence County Drug Court, by the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, to serve a guilty jail sentence plea:

• CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.

 

 

 

 

Robert A. Cyrus, 20, of Fort Gay, West Virginia; was arrested on April 26, 2019, at 2:37 P.M., by a court security officer Charlie Curnutte of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE), • DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS, • RESISTING ARREST, • POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA.

Larry J. Maynard, 45, of Louisa, was arrested on April 29, 2019,at 12:53 A.M., by an officer of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with, via grand jury indictment:

TRAFFICKING IN CONTROL SUBSATNCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (< 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE), • DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS, • NO OPERATORS-MOPED LICENSE, • FAILURE OF OWNER TO MAINTAIN REQUIRED INSURANCE/SECURITY, 1ST OFFENSE.

Felix Cancel, 22, of Louisa, was arrested on April 29, 2019,at 6:48 P.M., by an officer of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with, via grand jury indictment:

TRAFFICKING IN CONTROL SUBSATNCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (< 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE),

• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.

Stevie Mundell, 25,of Louisa, was arrested on April 29,2019, at 6:52 P.M., by an officer of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:

• ALCOHOL INTOXICATION IN A PUBLIC PLACE – (1ST & 2ND OFFENSES).

 

James Patton, 29, of Hagerhill, Kentucky; was arrested on April 30, 2019, at 7:15 P.M., by patrolman officer M. Pugh, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:

• FAILURE TO APPEAR.

Brian K. Maynard, 49, of Louisa, was arrested on April 30,2019, at 9:48 P.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with, via a grand jury indictment:

• CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER,

• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE),

• FLEEING OR EVADING POLICE, 2ND DEGREE (ON FOOT),

• OPERATING ON SUSPENDED OR REVOKED OPERATORS LICENSE,

• CARRYING A CONCEALED WEAPON.

 

Brandi Mollette, 33, of Louisa, was arrested in Boyd County on May 1, 2019, at 2:43 A.M., by officer Cody Clark of the Ashland Police Department, and was later transferred to the the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, on May 1,at 2:55 P.M.,and was charged with, via a Lawrence County grand jury indictment:

• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE,1ST OFFENSE – (< 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE),

• TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE,

• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.

 

 

James G. Stepp, 39, of Louisa, was arrested on May 2, 2019, at 7:43 P.M., by deputy Mason Keefer of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with,

• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE,1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (< 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE),

• PERSISTENT FELONY OFFENDER II,

• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/ POSSESS,

• FLEEING OR EVADING POLICE, 2ND DEGREE (ON FOOT).

 

Bonita Jean Gern, 30, of Fort Gay, West Virginia; was arrested on May 2, 2019, at 7:43 P.M., by deputy Mason Keefer of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with,

• HINDERING PROSECUTION OR APPREHENSION-2ND DEGREE,

• SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT.

 

 

Brett M. Thomas, 28, of Louisa, was arrested on May 2,2019, at 8:09 P.M.,by an officer of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:

• THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING SHOPLIFTING UNDER/$500.

• CRIMINAL TRESPASSING, 3RD DEGREE.

 

Jessie Parks, 33, of Louisa, was arrested on May 3, 2019, at 1:22 A.M., by patrolman officer Hunter James of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with, via a grand jury indictment:

• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (< 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE).

 

Monica Parks, 33, of Louisa, was arrested on May 3, 2019, at 1:31 A.M., by patrolman officer Hunter James of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with, via a grand jury indictment:

• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (< 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE).

 

Benjamin P. Accord, 30, of Fort Gay, West Virginia; was arrested on May 3, 2019, at 1:34 A.M., by deputy Chase Kirk of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with,

• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (< 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE),

• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS,

• SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT ( 3 SEPARATE BENCH WARRANTS).

 

 

 

 

William G. Cantrell, 34, of Louisa, was arrested on May 3, 2019, at 3:26 P.M., by patrolman officer Hunter James of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with, via a grand jury indictment: • FAILURE TO APPEAR, • SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT, • RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY UNDER/$10,000.

Thomas J. Bentley, 34, of Louisa, was arrested in Pike County, Ky., on April 25, 2019, at 11:23 P.M.,by an officer of the Pike Police Department,and was charged with 2 bench warrants out of Boyd County, both for: • FAILURE TO PAY FINES, and had an order by Boyd County District Court Judge Scott T. Reese,on the first warrant to either pay a fine of $264 full cash, or spend 4 days in jail, and on the second warrant to either pay a fine of $284 full cash, or spend 4 days in jail.

 

 

Holly King, 34, of Louisa, was arrested in Bourbon County, Ky., on May 2, 2019, at 9:29 P.M. by an officer of the Paris Police Department, and was charged with:

• NON-PAYMENT OF FINES.

 

 

Lawrence Tyler McCoy,25, of Louisa, was arrested in Martin County, on May 3,2019, at 1:06 A.M.,by deputy Aaron Blevins of the Martin County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 2ND OFFENSE,

• NO REGISTRATION RECEIPT,

• FAILURE TO PRODUCE INSURANCE CARD.

    How does all these people keep getting out?? -it just makes me shake my head and for the people with the meth charges.
    WOW! – meth is really getting to people.

    Never know anymore. It’s all around us. – especially at the least unexpected places. Meth is such an epidemic around Louisa it’s so sad. – every time you hear an arrest it’s due to meth.. Hope this new DICE program will bust all these meth dealers. Keep up the work DICE. 👏🏻👏🏻
