LAWRENCE COUNTY ARREST LIST – APRIL 1-11, 2020

PANDEMIC FALLOUT CONTINUES TO AFFECT CRIME RATES AND CRIME FIGHTING NUMBERS IN A DOWNWARD RATE IN OUR LOCAL REGION

SINCE THE BEGINNING OF APRIL 1, THERE HAVE BEEN A TOTAL OF 25 PEOPLE ARRESTED FROM JOHNSON, LAWRENCE, MAGOFFIN, AND MARTIN COUNTIES COMBINED BOOKED AT THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION CENTER IN PAINTSVILLE. FOR A COMPARISON; FROM MARCH 1-15, 2020, THERE WERE 178 PRISONERS BOOKED AT THE BSRDC. AND FROM MARCH 16-31, THERE WERE 59 PRISONERS BOOKED AT THE BSRDC.

9 OF THOSE ARRESTS WERE FROM LAWRENCE COUNTY.

SEPARATELY, 3 LAWRENCE COUNTY RESIDENTS WERE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY IN NEIGHBORING COUNTIES (2 IN BOYD COUNTY, AND 1 IN MARTIN COUNTY).

HERE ARE THE LATEST NINE ARRESTED IN LAWRENCE COUNTY ALONG WITH THE THREE OUT OF COUNTY ARRESTED AS THE FOLLOWING:

Ricky Vance, 52, of Blaine, Kentucky; was arrested on April 1, 2020 at 4:25 P.M., by officer Ross, of the Kentucky Department of Corrections Division of Probation and Parole, and was charged with: • PROBATION VIOLATION (FOR FELONY OFFENSE).

Delores A. Wilks, 59, of Louisa, was arrested on April 1, 2020, at 7:49 P.M., by deputy Everett Chase Kirk, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• INADEQUATE SILENCER (MUFFLER),

• OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE,

•POSSESSION OF OPEN ALCOHOL BEVERAGE CONTAINER IN MOTOR VEHICLE PROHIBITED.

James D. Moore, 36, of Louisa, was arrested on April 6, 2020, at 2:51 P.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• SERVING BENCH WARRANT.

 

Ryan R. York, 34, of Louisa, was arrested on April 7, 2020, at 6:10 P.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• VIOLATION OF A KENTUCKY EPO/DVO.

Charles Moran, 59, of Louisa, was arrested on April 1, 2020, at 8:58 P.M., by chief deputy Mason Keefer, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• ASSAULT, 1ST DEGREE.

James G. Stepp, 40, of Louisa, was arrested on April 8, 2020, at 2:09 P.M., by chief deputy Mason Keefer, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• SERVING TWO BENCH WARRANTS FOR COURT.

Brian A. Roop, 34, of Louisa, was arrested on April 10, 2020, at 3:25 A.M., by deputy Everett Chase Kirk, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, & was charged with:

• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE),

• KNOWINGLY REPORT CHILD ABUSE FALSELY.

Josh Ray, 39, of Louisa, was arrested on April 10, 2020, at 3:25 A.M., by deputy Everett Chase Kirk, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE) [2 SEPARATE COUNTS CHARGES].

Christopher L. Bailey, 40, of Louisa, was arrested on April 11, 2020, at 3:49 P.M., by deputy Dwayne Bowen,of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department,&was charged with:

• SERVING BENCH WARRANT,

• ASSAULT, 1ST DEGREE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.

Regina D. Cline, 44, of Lomansville, Kentucky; was taken into custody on April 1,2020,at 10:43 P.M.,by the Martin County Sheriff Department, to serve a guilty plea jail sentence “weekender”:

• CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.

Pamela J. Stiltner, 41, of Louisa, was arrested in Boyd County, on April 5, 2020, at 1:21 A.M., by a trooper of the Kentucky State Police,Post 14-Ashland, Ky., & was charged with:

• OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE,

• CARELESS DRIVING,

• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE),

• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.

Tommy Lee Cantrell, 53, of Louisa, was taken into custody in Boyd County, on April 6, 2020, at 7:08 P.M., by officer Corey D. Bradley, of the Catlettsburg Police Department, to serve a guilty plea sentence “weekender”:

• CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.
