In the past 9 & 1/2 day period from 12:01 A.M. December 30,2019 thru to 11:59 A.M.January 8,2020, there were at least 92 individuals who were arrested and were brought to be lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of those 92, 9 of those arrested were from Lawrence County.
Eight Lawrence County residents were taken into custody in other jurisdictions. Seven in Kentucky (3 in Boyd County, 2 in Martin County, 1 in Perry County, and 1 in Jessamine County; and was later on transferred to Fayette County, Ky).
Also, one Lawrence County resident was in Rabun County, Georgia.
That is in comparison to the previous preceding past 6 & 3/4 day period from 6:00 A.M.December 23 2019 thru to 11:59 P.M. December 29, 2019, there were at least 52 individuals who were arrested and were brought to be lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of those 52, eight of those arrested were from Lawrence County. Also, one Lawrence County resident was taken into custody in Johnson County.
The number of inmates that were lodged at the BSRDC in Paintsville as of 7:00 A.M. Monday morning, January 8, 2020, was 234.
The names & criminal charges of those latest nine arrested in Lawrence County, along with the eight Lawrence County residents arrested in other Ky. counties; and also in Georgia, are the following:
Damian Salyers, 19, of Louisa, was arrested on December 30,2019,at 2:13 P.M.,by deputy Chase Kirk, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE.
Jessie Parks, 34, of Louisa, was arrested on January 2,2020, at 6:11 P.M.,by deputy Michael Housinger, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT.
Richard A. Laney, 59, of Louisa, was arrested on January 2, 2020, at 9:08 P.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• FALSELY REPORTING AN INCIDENT.
Timothy S. Harper, 18, of Louisa, was arrested on January 3, 2020, at 5:45 P.M., by patrolman officer Teddie E. Newsome, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:
• THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION CONTENTS FROM VEHICLE UNDER $500, • DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/ POSSESS.
Willie C. Green, 35, of Blaine, Kentucky; was arrested on January 3, 2020, at 4:48 P.M., by deputy Chase Kirk, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE,
• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE),
• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS,
• NO CLEARANCE LIGHTS, • INADEQUATE SILENCER (MUFFLER).
Billie C. Voorhies, 59, of Louisa, was arrested on January 4, 2020, at 7:00 P.M., by patrolman officer Teddie E. Newsome, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:
• BURGLARY, 3RD DEGREE.
Natasha N. Marcum, 34, of Louisa, was arrested on January 5,2020, at 12:20 A.M., by deputy Dwayne Bowen, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• ASSAULT, 4TH DEGREE (DOMESTIC VIOLENCE) NO VISIBLE INJURY.
Larry J. Maynard, 45, of Louisa, was arrested on January 7, 2020, at 5:44 A.M., by patrolman officer Hunter James, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:
• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE),
• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/ POSSESS,

Danny Evans, 45 ,of Louisa, was arrested on January 8,2020, at 7:15 A.M.,by patrolman officer Hunter James,of the Louisa Police Department, & was charged with:

• FLEEING OR EVADING POLICE, 2ND DEGREE (ON FOOT),

Stephen Lynn Robertson, 36, of Louisa, was arrested in Boyd County on December 30, 2019, at 12:28 A.M., by officer Ballard, of the Ashland Police Department, and was charged with:
• PROBATION VIOLATION (FOR FELONY OFFENSE).
Anthony Asay, 18, of Louisa, was arrested in Jessamine County, Ky., on January 1,2020, at 4:14 P.M., by an officer of the Nicholasville Police Department, and was charged with:
• SERVING WARRANT (FOR OTHER POLICE AGENCY).
Anthony Asay was transferred on January 3, 2020, from the Jessamine County Jail in Nicholasville, to the Fayette County, Ky., Jail in Lexington, on the warrant charges of:
• MURDER; and
• TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE.
Anthony Asay bond was set at $1,005,000; for which consisted of $1,000,000, for the Murder charge and $5,000 for the Tampering charge.
Charlie Keith, 45, of Louisa, was arrested in Perry County, Ky., on January 1, 2020, at 11:24 P.M., by a trooper of the Kentucky State Police-Post 13-Hazard, Ky., and was charged with:
• LEAVING SCENE OF ACCIDENT-FAILURE TO RENDER AID OR ASSISTANCE,
• CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3RD DEGREE,
• NO REGISTRATION RECEIPT,

Betty Jane Vanover, 24, of Louisa, was arrested in Boyd County, on January 3, 2020, at 3:04 P.M., by a deputy of the Boyd County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• FAILURE TO APPEAR (OSL, NRP).
Betty Jane Vanover bail was set at $500 cash bond; for which Vanover posted and has since been released from the Boyd County Detention Center in Catlettsburg.
Dempsey Browning, 55, of Louisa, was arrested in Rabun County, Georgia; on January 4, 2020, at 3:04 P.M., by an officer of the Clayton Police Department, and was charged with:
• DUI – LESS SAFE,
• FAILURE TO MAINTAIN LANE.
Dempsey Browning bail was set $1,159 full cash bond, which he posted, and was released from the Rabun County Jail, on January 7, 2020.
Ashley K. Adkins, 37, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested in Martin County, on January 4, 2020, at 1:25 A.M., by Constable Brad Preece, of the Martin County Constable Office-District 4, & was charged with:
• SERVING TWO SEPARATE WARRANTS (FOR OTHER POLICE AGENCY).
Richard Smith, 37, of Louisa,Kentucky; was arrested in Martin County, on January 4, 2020, at 1:25 A.M., by trooper Billy E. Holbrook, of the Kentucky State Police-Post 9-Pikeville, and was charged with:
• PROBATION VIOLATION (FOR MISDEMEANOR OFFENSE).
Kimberly Smith, 51, of Louisa, was arrested in Boyd County, on January 4, 2020, at 11:25 P.M., by a deputy of the Boyd County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
