Lawrence Co. Youth League Football goes undefeated on Saturday; Lawrence Co. 14 Martin Co. 14 in non conference battle

LOUISA, Ky. — It was the regular season opener and the Little Dawgs started their runs to the Turf Bowl in grand fashion on a beautiful day for football. 

 

Lawrence Co. 22 Huntington 6 ( D Team ) 

 

In the first game of the day the Dawgs were victorious behind three touchdowns and a two point conversion from Noah Young and two point conversion from Gentry Bowen along with around 100 yards from Silas Runyon. 

 

#15 Silas Runyon looks to hit the hole on Saturday against Huntington. 

Lawrence Co. 36 Huntington 12 ( C Team ) 

 

 

In the second game of the day the Dawgs pounded the Hawks scoring 36 points points in the first half and crushing to the win. 

 

#7 Ryder Endicott races toward the end zone on Saturday.

Colton Bentley opened up the scoring with a 65 yard TD run. 

 

Ryder Endicott caught 30 yard touchdown pass from Bentley and Bentley ran in the two point conversion for a 14-0 lead. 

 

 

Eli Block scooted in from 32 yard and it was 20-0 Dawgs. 

 

Tyson Muncy had a 59 yard TD run and Bentley added the two point conversion to make it 28-0.

 

 

Bentley cruised in from 45 yards out and then added the two point conversion for a 36-0 lead at Halftime. 

 

Huntington scored two touchdowns in the second half to set the final score. 

 

 

 

 

Lawrence Co. 30 Huntington 6 ( B Team ) 

 

#10 Lucas Block crosses the goal line in a win over Huntington Saturday.

In the third game of the day Tucker Muncy tossed a 19 yard touchdown pass to Lucas Block and Block ran in the two point conversion to get the scoring started. 

 

 

Huntington answered on a 64 yard reverse but the conversion failed and it was Lawrence Co. 8-6. 

 

The Dawgs went ahead for good on a Brayson Raines 52 yard touchdown reception from Tucker Muncy and Tucker Dixon caught the two point conversion from Muncy to make it 16-6. 

 

 

Block 2 yard touchdown catch from Muncy and Kristian Johnson hauled in the two point conversion pass from Muncy to make it  24-6 at the half. 

 

 

The only points of the second half came on a Muncy to Raines 8 yard touchdown to set the final score of 

30-6. 

 

 

 

Lawrence Co. 24 Huntington 6 ( A Team ) 

 

 

In the fourth game of the day the two teams were scoreless at half before the Bulldogs got untracked and went on for the easy victory. 

 

 

Jace Napier scored from 1 yard out and 14 yards out. 

 

Levi Hensley raced in from 36 yards out for a touchdown. 

 

 

QB Carson Evans tossed three two point conversions. One to Keagan Muncy, one went to Cole Hutton and one went to Hensley. 

 

#23 Keagan Muncy makes an unbelievable catch on a two point conversion pass from Carson Evans. 

Evans finished with 113 yards on 7 carries, Napier had 68 yards on 8 rushes, Hensley had 81 yards on 7 rushes. 

 

 

Evans completed the three 2 point conversions and then completed two other passes. 

 

 

Hutton had an interception on defense. 

 

 

Lawrence Co. 14 Martin Co. 14 

 

 

#4 Lucas McDaniel looks for running against Martin Co. on Saturday.

In the final game of the day the Dawgs went out of conference and played Martin Co. which ended in a 14-14 tie. 

 

 

For Lawrence Co. Kristian Johnson had 65 yard touchdown run in the contest. DJ Wilburn also had a 65 yard touchdown run. 

 

Johnson also had a two point conversion reception from Lucas McDaniels. 

 

 

For Martin Co. Raylan Preston had a 5 yard touchdown run.

 

Lyric Howell scored from 46 yards out. 

 

Blaine Williams had two point conversion run.
