LAWRENCE CO. TAKES CARE OF REBELS IN LOUISA

Louisa, Ky. — After being postponed three times because of weather, Lawrence Co. (8-15) and Tolsia (4-13) finally got to play and it was the Bulldogs winning 72-39 Wednesday evening.

#23 Westin Hardin of LCHS going up strong as #11 Austin Salmons of THS defends.

Tolsia led 13-10 before the Dawgs went on a monster run keyed by good defense and Rebel foul trouble to lead 41-15 at Halftime.

That run sealed the deal and Lawrence Co. cruised to the victory.

The Bulldogs were led by Tyler Maynard with 22 points, Baden Gillispie tallied 11 points, Lucas Maynard finished with 10 points, Cody Maynard and Alex Ratliff 7 points apiece, Chase Sartin and Eric Webb 6 points each, Westin Hardin chipped win with 3 points.

LCHS hit 5 three pointers and went 8-10 from the line.

Tolsia was led by Austin Salmons with 12 points including 2 three pointers, Rob Cantrell 8 points with 2 three pointers Jared Switzer tallied 7 points, Jonathon Johnson 6 points, Blake Sturgell 3 points, William Spaulding 2 points and Jacob Mollette 1 point.

THS hit 6 three pointers and went 3-4 from the line.

Lawrence Co. will host Floyd Central in a Girl/Boy Doubleheader Friday night at 6:00/7:45.

 

Lincoln Co 73 Tolsia 67 ( Monday )

The Rebels raced out to big lead before the Panthers ( 9-5 ) clawed their way back to victory at Rebel Arena Monday night.

Tolsia led 21-10 after one quarter and pushed that out to a 15 point lead behind Jacob Mollette who hit 5 three pointers before Lincoln Co. closed the lead to 40-28 at the break.

Jacob Mollette hit 6 three vs Lincoln Co. including 5 in the first half. In the second half the Panthers carried the momentum to a six point lead before Tolsia tied it at 67 apiece with 35 seconds left in the game after making six straight free throws. The Rebels tried to put the pressure on but ended up fouling and then missing a couple open shots and Lincoln Co. closed it out at the line

Jacob Mollette poured in 22 points on 6 three pointers, Jonathon Johnson tallied 20 points, Austin Salmons finished with 15 points, Rob Cantrell 8 points, Tyler Maynard 2 points, Jared Switzer had 7 assists and 10 boards.

THS hit 6 threes and went 13-14 from the line.

Tolsia will be off until they travel to #6 Nitro next Tuesday night.
