Once again, the Lawrence Co. Quilted Treasures Quilt Guild is sponsoring “Quilts for a Cause” as part of our combination quilt show and craft bazaar. This year the show and sale will be held on Friday and Saturday, November 2nd and 3rd 2018. at the Lawrence County Extension Office between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM each day.

Both Christmas and traditional items will be available for sale and of course many beautiful quilts to look at. However, this year the Guild is sponsoring “Quilts for a Cause”. This provides members of the Quilt Guild and the community at large, to make and offer a quilted or other handmade item for a silent auction, the proceeds from the donated item will go to the charity of the maker’s choice.

“Quilts for a Cause” items are presently on display at the Lawrence County Public Library in Louisa and will also be moved to the Quilt Show on Nov 2nd. They will also be posted on the internet before the silent auction begins.

The Silent Auction will begin on November 2nd and conclude on November 3rd. Bids can be placed both in person at the Lawrence County Extension Office and over the internet by visiting the Lawrence County Quilted Treasures Facebook Page during the silent auction.

Some of the charities that will be benefiting from this auction will be Lawrence County (Ky) Animal Shelter, Father Beiting’s Mission, Gold Star Mothers and other charities.
