LAWRENCE CO. HEADS TO PIKE CENTRAL; TOLSIA HAS HUGE HOMECOMING GAME

Lawrence Co. and Tolsia both encounter huge games tonight with the Dawgs hitting the road for a key District game with Playoff implications and the Rebels hosting Homecoming night to keep a .500 record within reach.

Lawrence Co.  is 4-3 but more importantly 1-0 in Class 3A District 6 action after snapping a two game losing streak in a 48-8 dusting of Sheldon Clark last week. The defense really played well, swarming to the football and gang tackling all game long. The offense was led by Noah West and Dalton Ferguson.

The Dawgs will face Pike Co. Central which is ( 4-2 ) and 1-0 in District play with a 35-34 win over Floyd Central a couple weeks ago. This game is always crucial for playoff seeding and this year is no different with tonight’s winner likely to host a Home playoff game while the loser likely makes a long road trip to District 3.

Tolsia vs. #8  Mt. View

It’s Homecoming night at Wilts Salmons Field as Tolsia ( 1-5 ) looks to snap a 4 game losing streak after a road loss last Friday night at #4 South Harrison. It doesn’t get any easier for the Rebels as Mt. View comes to town with a ( 4-2 ) record and ranked #8 in Class A.

Tolsia scored on two long touchdown passes from Wayne Williamson to Jonathon Johnson and Paskell Doss but it wasn’t enough to get past the Hawks. The Golden Knights have a lot of team speed which could present a problem for the Rebel Defense tonight.

Game times are 7:30 for both games.
