LAWRENCE CO. GRAND JURY SLAPS 17 PEOPLE WITH INDICTMENTS DURING JUNE SESSION

‘GANG OF FIVE’ INDICTED AFTER GETTING CAUGHT IN THE ACT OF ROBBING HOME OF  EX-LOUISA DOCTOR CURT EDENS; LEADER OF HOME INVASION BURGLARY GROUP ALLEGED TO HAVE BEEN ARMED WITH ‘DEADLY WEAPON’

The Lawrence County Grand Jury has had a busy month so far this June, as it made active actions by naming a total of 17 people who were indicted by the grand jury on Friday, June 14.

The 17 individuals who were named in the true bills indictments were as the following:

Ryan Hayes, 32, of Hager Hill, in Johnson County, Ky., was charged with two counts of THEFT BY DECEPTION OVER $500 BUT UNDER $10,000; for allegedly selling a property to Belinda Hardin of Lawrence County, after having already conveyed the deed to the property to Joe Castle and Chasity Howard, also of Lawrence County, from April 10, 2018, to May 31, 2018.

Wendy Jude, 32, of Louisa, was charged with OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL/ DRUGS – FIRST OFFENSE; FIRST DEGREE POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE); and DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS; for allegedly driving motor vehicle under the influence of marijuana or other substances, and possessing methamphetamine and syringes on April 7.

Top to bottom- Melinda Wallace, 39, of Louisa, Tonetta Stepp, 39, of Louisa, Eric T. Ward, 23, of Louisa, along with Joseph Miller, of Miamisburg, Ohio; all who were charged with SECOND DEGREE BURGLARY/COMPLICITY; for allegedly acting alone or in complicity with each other, entering and remaining in a house on Shiloh Drive in Louisa, owned by Curt Edens, with the intent to commit a crime on March 30.

Melinda Wallace was additionally charged with:THIRD DEGREE ASSAULT OF A POLICE OFFICER; for allegedly attempting to kick an officer present for the arrest.

Charles Mills. 33. of Medina, Ohio; was charged with FIRST DEGREE BURGLARY; was charged for allegedly entering the home of Curt Eden, while armed with a deadly weapon with the intent to commit a crime on March 30.

Gary Fyffe, 53, of Blaine; was charged with FIRST DEGREE POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE and FIRST OFFENSE USE/POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA; for allegedly possessing methamphetamine and a metal scoop March 25.

Veronica J. Wolford, 25, of Boons Camp, in Johnson County, Ky., was charged with: FIRST DEGREE POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE and FIRST OFFENSE USE/POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA; for allegedly possessing methamphetamine and syringes on March 25.

Timmy Mullett, 40, of Louisa, was charged with: FIRST DEGREE POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE and FIRST OFFENSE USE/POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA; for allegedly possessing methamphetamine, syringes, digital scales, and glass pipes on March 14.

Anthony Wade Mullins, of Louisa; was charged with INCEST, PROMOTING A SEXUAL PERFORMANCE BY A MINOR and FIRST DEGREE SEXUAL ABUSE, for allegedly having sexual intercourse with a victim under the age of 14 two or more times; directing or promoting a performance that included sexual conduct by the minor; and subjecting the minor to sexual contact between October 15, 2018 and January 13, 2019.

Samantha Richards, 21, of Louisa, and Matthew Russell, 29, of Louisa; were charged with: FIRST DEGREE POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE/COMPLICITY, and FIRST OFFENSE USE/POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA/ COMPLICITY; for allegedly acting alone or in complicity with each other, possessing methamphetamine, a syringe, and, baggies on April 1.

Carl Marcum, 30, of Louisa, was charged with: FIRST DEGREE POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE); for allegedly possessing the drug on March 18.

Brandy Perkins, 34, of Louisa, and Robert Cyrus, 21, of Fort Gay, West Virginia; were charged with: FIRST DEGREE TRAFFICKING IN A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE ( > or = 2 GRAMS OF METHAMPHETAMINE)/COMPLICITY, for allegedly acting or alone or in complicity with each other, selling 5.569 grams of meth to confidential informants on January 24.

Brandy Perkins is also charged in a separate indictment with: FIRST DEGREE DRUG TRAFFICKING IN A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (> or = 2 GRAMS OF METHAMPHETAMINE); for allegedly selling 2.976 grams of meth to confidential informants on February 12.

Robert Cyrus is also charged in two separate indictments with: FIRST DEGREE DRUG TRAFFICKING IN A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (> or = 2 GRAMS OF METHAMPHETAMINE); for allegedly selling 7.278 grams of meth on February 6, and then selling 7.770 grams of meth again on February 18, to confidential informants.

Sherry Castle, 37, of Louisa, was charged with: FIRST DEGREE TRAFFICKING IN A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, FIRST OFFENSE (< 10. DOSAGE UNITS); for allegedly selling six 30-milligram oxycodone pills to a confidential informant on January 18, 2019.
