In August 4th at Prestonsburg in a preseason Soccerama Lawrence Co. played in four 20 minute games and came away with ties against both Johnson Central and Prestonsburg 0-0 and beat Powell Co. and Sheldon Clark 3-0.

This past Saturday LC hosted Boyd Co for the final scrimmage game of the preseason and came away with a 4-0 victory over a very speedy and aggressive Boyd Co team. The defense never bent and came away with the shutout and offense was starting to really find a rhythm and had lots of chances to score.

COACH’S COMMENTS

“… I’m very excited to get the season underway and to see what this team can accomplish. We are loaded with 10 players from the senior class. These girls play selfless, team oriented soccer and know what it takes to win big games.”

“… We host Paintsville to kick the season off and I feel like we will only get better as the season progresses. The sky is the limit for these girls.
