Irvine, Ky. — Due to forecast of ongoing high wind and rain through late afternoon/early evening tonight’s LCHS football game at Estill County has been rescheduled. The game is now scheduled for tomorrow evening (Saturday Sept 28th).  Kickoff is slated for 7:30 pm at Estill County.

The Dawgs ( 3-1 ) will have to wait one more day to kickoff Class 3A District 8 action against the Estill Co. Engineers ( 3-2 ).

In a win over Harlan Co. 35-14 last week the Dawgs did all of their damage in the first half. QB Luke Fetherolf went 10-15 for 100 yards and 3 touchdowns along with 60 yards on 5 attempts and 1 touchdown on the ground. Backup Mitchell Frazier went 1-1 for 3 yards.

Andrew Ratcliffe hauled in 5 passes for 44 yards and 2 touchdowns, Carlo Chicko caught 4 balls for 43 yards and a touchdown, Braxton Davis had 2 catches for 16 yards and Chandler Preece 1 for 1 yard.

Preece had 10 rushes for 56 yards and a TD, Connor York carried it 4 times for 25 yards, Gray Derifield 2 times for 8 yards and Brady Nelson 1 carry for 7 yards.

Brayden Queen was a perfect 5 for 5 on extra point kicks.

Josh Spillman recovered a fumble and Derifield intercepted a pass.

The two teams met in Louisa last year for the first time and Lawrence Co. walked away with a 33-12 victory.
