COACH’S COMMENTS

“… This was a shell shock for all of us. It’s been 10 years since we haven’t played for a district championship.

“… Give credit to Prestonsburg they played their tails off and wanted to win worse than we did on Monday night. But I’ve talked to the girls about the great opportunity we have since we are playing a super regional this season. This will allow for the best teams to make it to the Expo and compete for a regional championship. It gives a chance for teams like us who laid an egg and didn’t get the job done.

“… We have refocused and dialed back in and are ready to fight and claw our way back to the regional tournament. There’s a reason for everything and a lesson to be learned. We told the girls we just have a different path this year and they are writing their own story. I love these girls and I know we are going to get the job done and give ourselves a  chance to compete for a regional championship.”
