The Dawgs beat the Golden Eagles 3-2 and the two teams tied 3-3 in two regular season meetings.

COACH’S COMMENTS

“… It was a tough game just like we knew it was going to be. Almost like Home field advantage was kinda a curse they beat us at home and we beat them twice here. We went up 2-0 early and I thought we might run away with it but Belfry wasn’t having any of that and they fought back to tie it up early in the second half. They are good physical team that has some weapons.”

“…Once we got the lead we had several chances to extend the lead but couldn’t. Give the back up goalie credit he stood in there and made a couple really good saves. Me and Coach Maynard were talking we had a ton of chances to add to our lead but couldn’t. We controlled the game for the most part and possessed the ball most of the second half. I think Trenton Adkins only had 2 saves so that says it all.”

“… So proud of our program, two years and two District titles but we have been building this for six years. These kids have been together for a while now. They have experience and can play at this level. They have worked really hard to get to this point and have earned everything.”

“… Our kids have fought all year and battled every game seems like every one of them have been one goal games and we will be ready for whoever it is next week.”
