Season record goes to 4-1-1
Soccerdawgs win one, lose one and tie one in this week’s action
Louisa, Ky, — The two best teams in 15th region soccer squared off on Tuesday night at the Lawrence Co. Soccer field and after playing 80 minutes, nothing was settled as Lawrence Co. ( 4-1-1 and Prestonsburg 5-0-1 tied 2-2.
SoccerDawg Sophomore Zayla Granillo got the Dawgs on the board early in the first half with her sixth goal of the season. Prestonsburg tied the score late in the first half as the two teams went into halftime 1-1.
In the second half it was a battle of defense until LC Junior Victoria Clevenger scored her 8th goal of the season and it looked like the Dawgs were in position to win until the Lady Blackcats scored to tie the game at 2 apiece and that is where the game would finish.
Freshman Ally Moore was in goal for Lawrence Co.

The SoccerDawgs traveled to Pond Creek last week for a district game and game away with the victory as six different girls tallied goals. Senior Makenzie Frazier, Junior Victoria Clevenger, Sophomores Zayla Granillo, Kelly Davis, Kylie Maynard and Freshman Sarah Lycans scored for LC. Davis, Maynard, Lycans and Hayleah Fletcher all had assists in the victory.
Senior Andrea Salyer was in goal for the Bulldogs.
Russell 3 Lawrence Co. 0
LC suffered their first loss of the season against the 16th region favorite the Russell Red Devils at Home last week. The Dawgs couldn’t get much going vs the stout defense from Russell.
Ally Moore was in goal for the Bulldogs.
