SEVENTEEN ARRESTED DURING HOLIDAYS IN LAWRENCE CO.

LAWRENCE COUNTY ARREST LIST – DECEMBER 16 – 24, 2016

WHILE THE ARREST RATES FOR THE COUNTIES IN THE REGION WAS AROUND AVERAGE WEEKLY RATE IN THE WEEK AND HALF TIME PERIOD RUN UP TO THE CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY WEEKEND, FOR LAWRENCE COUNTY IN THIS SAME TIME PERIOD HOWEVER, THE ARREST NUMBERS FOR LAWRENCE COUNTY WERE WELL ABOVE THEIR WEEKLY AVERAGE.

(BUT SOMEWHAT CONCERNING, SINCE THE CUTOFF DATE OF THIS REPORT, THE NUMBERS OF ARRESTS FOR LAWRENCE COUNTY AND THE THREE OTHER COUNTIES THAT USE THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION CENTER IN PAINTSVILLE, [PLUS SOME OTHER NEARBY COUNTIES THAT USE THE BSRDC OCCASIONALLY, THE ARREST NUMBERS HAVE HAD A VERY STEEP DROPOFF IN OUR AREA SINCE CHRISTMAS EVE, WITH AN EXAMPLE; NO ARRESTS FOR 4 DAYS STRAIGHT AFTER CHRISTMAS EVE IN LAWRENCE COUNTY. WITH ONLY 4 TAKEN INTO CUSTODY TOTAL IN THE LAST WEEK SO FAR SINCE CHRISTMAS EVE).

From 12:01 A.M., December 16, 2016 to 11:59 P.M., December 24, 2016; 92 arrested individuals were brought into the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of the 92 arrested individuals brought to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in the last 9 days, 17 were from Lawrence County.

From 12:01 A.M., December 6, 2016 to 11:59 P.M., December 15, 2016; 101 arrested individuals were brought into the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of the 101 arrested individuals brought to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in that 10 day period, 15 were from Lawrence County.

From 12:01 A.M., December 1, 2016 to 11:59 P.M., December 5, 2016; 56 arrested individuals were brought into the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of the 56 arrested individuals brought to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in that 5 day period, 14 were from Lawrence County.

The number of inmates booked each day from December 16 thru December 24 at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville was as the following: FRIDAY-DECEMBER 16: SEVEN, SATURDAY-DECEMBER 17: 14, SUNDAY-DECEMBER 18: SEVEN, MONDAY-DECEMBER 19: EIGHT, TUESDAY-DECEMBER 20: 12, WEDNESDAY-DECEMBER 21: 10, THURSDAY-DECEMBER 22: 15, FRIDAY-DECEMBER 23: NINE, SATURDAY-DECEMBER 24: 10,

Those seventeen individuals arrested in Lawrence County in the past nine days are the following:

Elmer L. Marcum JrElmer L. Marcum Jr., 34, of Genoa, West Virginia; turned himself in December 16, 2016 at 11:48 A.M., to the Lawrence County Sheriff Department to serve a guilty plea weekend jail sentence with: CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER. ( Marcum also turned himself in December 9, 2016 at 1:38 P.M., to the Lawrence County Sheriff Department to serve a guilty plea weekend jail sentence with: CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER. This was left out in the precvious arrest report).

 

Kathy Sue WestKelly Sue West, 36, of Louisa; was arrested on December 16, 2016, at 2:56 P.M., by a patrol officer of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION SHOPLIFTING UNDER $500.

 

 

 

Jessica CollinsworthJessica Collinsworth, 28, of Louisa; was arrested on December 16, 2016, at 3:05 P.M., by a patrol officer of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION SHOPLIFTING UNDER $500.

 

 

 

 

Richard L. MeadeRichard L. Meade, 63, of Louisa, was arrested on December 17, 2016, at 3:37 P.M., by deputy Mason Keefer, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • BURGLARY, 3RD DEGREE, • CARRYING A CONCEALED WEAPON, • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE 1ST OFFENSE (DRUG UNSPECIFIED), • ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF LEGEND DRUG.

 

 

 

 

 

Misty M. MaynardMisty M. Maynard, 39, of Dunlow, West Virginia; was arrested on December 19, 2016, at 7:11 P.M., by a patrol officer of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION SHOPLIFTING UNDER $500.

 

 

 

 

Brian Allen ChapmanBrian Allen Chapman, 26, of Lomansville, Kentucky; was arrested on December 20, 2016, at 9:51 A.M., by trooper Tyler Daniels, of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with: • NON PAYMENT OF FINES, • WANTON ENDANGERMENT-1ST DEGREE, • FLEEING OR EVADING POLICE, 1ST DEGREE (MOTOR VEHICLE), • DRIVING ON DUI SUSPENDED LICENSE -1ST OFFENSE, • FAILURE OF OWNER TO MAINTAIN REQUIRED INSURANCE/SECURITY, 1ST OFFENSE, • NO REGISTRATION RECEIPT, • NO REGISTRATION PLATES, • FAILURE TO WEAR SEAT BELTS, • RECKLESS DRIVING, • FAILURE TO OR IMPROPER SIGNAL.

 

 

Benjamin A. AccordBenjamin P. Accord, 46, of Louisa; was arrested on December 21, 2016, at 1:25 A.M., by patrolman officer Jordan Musick, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE U/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE, • OBSTRUCTED VISION AND/OR WINDSHIELD, • FAILURE OF OWNER TO MAINTAIN REQUIRED INSURANCE/SECURITY, 1ST OFFENSE, • FAILURE TO PRODUCE INSURANCE CARD, • IMPROPER REGISTRATION PLATE, • NO REGISTRATION RECEIPT, • OPERATING ON SUSPENDED OR REVOKED OPERATOR LICENSE, • FAILURE TO WEAR SEAT BELTS.

 

 

 

 

Alyssa L. RobertsAlyssa L. Roberts, 27, of Louisa, was arrested on December 21, 2016, at 10:38 A.M., by deputy Charlie Curnutte, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT.

 

 

 

Travis D. HenryTravis D. Henry, 43, of Louisa, was arrested on December 22, 2016, at 4:25 P.M., by chief deputy Mark Wheeler, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • CRIMINAL TRESPASS-1ST DEGREE, • POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA, • DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS, • ALCOHOL INTOXICATION IN A PUBLIC PLACE (1ST & 2ND OFFENSE).

 

 

 

 

Bonita M. ThompsonBonita M. Thompson, 43, of Louisa; was arrested on December 22, 2016, at 7:09 P.M., by a patrol officer of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION SHOPLIFTING UNDER $500.

 

 

 

Keith DavisKeith Davis, 35, of East Point, Kentucky; was arrested on December 23, 2016, at 4:34 P.M., by patrolman officer Steven Wilburn of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION SHOPLIFTING UNDER $500.

 

 

Michelle DavisMichelle Davis, 29, of Louisa; was arrested on December 23, 2016, at 4:41 P.M., by Chief Greg Fugitt of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION SHOPLIFTING UNDER $500.

 

 

Brett M. ThomasBrett M. Thomas, 26, of Fort Gay, West Virginia; was arrested on December 23, 2016, at 7:19 P.M., by patrolman officer Hunter James, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • BURGLARY, 3RD DEGREE

 

 

 

 

Noah F. CrumNoah F. Crum, 55, of Louisa; was arrested on December 24, 2016, at 1:27 A.M., by patrolman officer Hunter James, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT.

 

 

 

Eddie H. KennedyEddie H. Kennedy, 61, of Webbville, Kentucky; was arrested on December 24, 2016, at 3:19 A.M., by trooper Daniel G. Vossmer, of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with: • RESISTING ARREST.

 

 

Vanessa Renae DillionVanessa Renae Dillion, 28, of Louisa; was arrested on December 24, 2016, at 3:20 A.M., by patrolman officer Hunter James, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • SERVING WARRANT (FOR OTHER POLICE AGENCY).

 

 

Teenie JarvisTeenie Jarvis, 19, of Fort Gay, West Virginia; was arrested on December 24, 2016, at 4:16 P.M., by patrolman officer Steven Wilburn of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION SHOPLIFTING UNDER/$500, • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 2ND DEGREE – DRUG UNSPECIFIED.
