Larry Edward Sparks, 67, of Columbus, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Sept. 11, 2019.

He was a pastor and minister in the Freewill Baptist Association for over 30 years.

Larry was born on August 29, 1952 in Louisa, KY to the late James E. and Leona Christian Sparks. He was preceded in death by two sons Paul Sparks of Columbus, Ohio and Eric Sparks of Louisa, KY; two brothers Garry Sparks and Joe Sparks of Louisa, KY; and a sister Bonnie Gee of Columbus, Ohio.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Barbara Salmons Sparks and a special daughter Brittany Burns Hogston of Plain City, Ohio; two brothers Ralph Sparks of Lancaster, Ohio and Cobie (Debbie) Sparks of Wellston, Ohio; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit the family on Friday Sept. 13 at the Williams Road FWB Church in Columbus, Ohio from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A time of reflection will be conducted at 7:00 pm by Pastor James Blake and Travis Hogston.

Friends may visit the family on Saturday Sept. 14 at the Wilson Funeral Home in Louisa, KY from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday Sept. 15th at the Bradley Gap Freewill Baptist Church in Louisa, KY with Rev. Bobby Workman and Rev. Jerry Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in the Sparks Family Cemetery Louisa, KY.

Care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home Louisa, KY.
